In the registrar book, notice how everyone who checks in has their own unique handwriting for their name and check-in date. However, the check-out date is the same style of handwriting for everyone which leads me to believe that none of them actually checked out.

Yes! I noticed that in part 1, the check out is an in the sand handwriting while the check in is all different handwritings. Really good attention to detail in this game.

I think Du'met is sacrificing people to this gloved person (maybe an H.H. Holmes copy cat?) for his games. Maybe his daughter is held ransom until he provides more victims at the hotel. Would explain their hasty departure on the ferry and his letters urging visitors to join him at the hotel. The guest log always seems to have guests check-in as a group.

I've been enjoying the game so far. The characters are pretty likable, motion capture looks funny sometimes but the dialogue is much better than previous games. I really love the whole look, color and vibe, it's sooo different than previous games. Also the inventory stuff too

Plus in the nerve-racking scenes it’s best to just run through the corridors and skip through the suspense if you can’t hack these games for that reason. You really should play these yourself firsthand it’s much better. Lol
