Here is some additional info about Ghost of Yotei: Atsu’s journey takes place in 1603, more than 300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima. Story is set in the lands surrounding Mount Yōtei, a towering peak in the heart of Ezo, an area of Japan known as Hokkaido in present day. In 1603, this area was outside the rule of Japan, and filled with sprawling grasslands, snowy tundras, and unexpected dangers. It’s a far cry from the organized samurai clans who lived in Tsushima, and it’s the setting for an original story we can’t wait to tell. "Sucker Punch’s first game built from the ground up for PlayStation 5, and we’re excited to build on the visual foundation we established in Ghost of Tsushima by making the world feel even more real. We have massive sightlines that let you look far across the environment, whole new skies featuring twinkling stars and auroras, even more believable movement from wind on grass and vegetation, and more improvements we’ll share in the future. Sucker punch can still very much go back to jin, the ghost legend would most likely play a big part in the sequal, and at the end of the first game it set up a sequal, and it make sence after ghost 2 they would go back to jin and show jin exspanding the ghost legend in main land japan during the second Mongol invasion.

A really interesting thing is that this is set in the year 1603, and the legendary samurai Miyamoto Musashi lived from 1584 to 1645. And he was famous for his unique style of dual wielding his Katana and Wakizashi... just like our protagonist did in this trailer..., coincidence? I don't think so.

the franchise is called ghost. yotei is just another place like tsushima but way bigger. ghost of tsushima is title given to jin sakai as the ghost that defeated the leader of the mongol empire that being stationed in tsushima and iki island in one on one duel and killing the rest of important generals silently so he is called the ghost. that girl is called the ghost of yotei with the very same reason. probably the enemies no longer mongol cause it set in 1600 something with bounty on her head for all ronin (samurai without master) who took the bounty for hefty amount of gold.

24:24 As beautiful as this looks, seeing huge empty open spaces again here in THIS shots, worries me. That was one of the issues I really didn't like with the Ghost of Tsushima. GIVE US SOMETHING to do other than just a huge open world with empty spaces with absolutely NOTHING to do except the occasional Mongol encounters and saving civilian NPCs. Besides that, this game yes, looks absolutely amazing and beautiful to look at. Can't wait to see more!

Thing is Japan back then was a large open space with few villages here and there so can’t really complain about about it being empty. There was plenty to do in Ghost. Collect things. And take over bases and side quest and random encounters with monguls on the road. Couldn’t ask for me than that.

@@demarktaylor4179 Yes I understand theres plenty of things to do like you mentioned, collect collectables, taking over bases, random Mongols encounter, but how long until those get boring? Especially with how easy the combat gets and doesn't offer much of a challenge? Like yes, it was still fun and engaging, but come on. Also the enemy AI behaviour is nothing groundbreaking to be honest, but it should be. And it follows the typical mediocre Ubisoft AI. Where if you hide in the bushes, the AI gets confused and stops following you as it lost track of you. But doesn't proceed to do the next step which is going through the grass and swinging their weapon to force you out or change positioning. Just take note NPC AI behaviour gets dampened in open world games because more programming goes into the open world which does not allow advanced and challenging AI, which is why Im worried the same thing with Tsushima's AI behaviour will also affect Yotei's AI. I'm really hoping its not the case.
