"the reason I don't like it, is the reason it's good for me". I run a 7km circuit and there's only a few sections where it's relatively flat, other than that, there's inclines, declines, hills, etc, all the way. Sure it's tough, but that's why I've chosen this circuit because it's challenging. Isn't that what it's all about?

Agree 100%! Which is why I said “perfect” to Holly’s comment she made in the video.

@@brianv1850 I've gotta say though, if she finds any of that course challenging then she needs to run the 7km course I set myself. If I ran her course, I'd consider it to be an easy day even if I was pushing myself.

Would you say your running form is pretty close to perfect? Watching the different angles, it appears that there's no wasted effort at all and all your energy seems to go into propelling you forward? Can you do any testing as you did for the bike to see if you can gain a few "watts" on your run? Great video again and I'm sure most would agree, we'd love to see more!

Love/hate this loop, it's a lot harder than running on flat pavement. Must be the most famous running spot in Boulder.

Interesting how she says "the reason I don't like it, is the reason it's good for me". Really? No sh!t Sherlock. I run a 7km circuit and there's only a few sections where it's relatively flat, other than that, there's inclines, declines, hills, etc, all the way. Sure it's tough, but that's why I've chosen this circuit because it's challenging. Isn't that what it's all about?

Does your right knee a little further than your left knee or is it the camera angle? Great going❤

Open course, no shade, adds to the loading . Different running surfaces i find it good and challenging.

Hopefully it makes running on flat pavement feel easy!

It’s amazing how easy it is to pick out a triathlete vs a runner. They are just built different. A lot of rest between, interesting.

Geez, I'd like to see those 'hills' she's referring to because from what I've seen it looks like a fairly flat circuit.

Isn't kind of too risky too run in such hot weather?
@passionprojecttriathlon
@passionprojecttriathlon Жыл бұрын
It wasn't too hot, mid 70's during the last rep. It got up to the upper 80's mid day. We went earlier than usual to avoid it. The US PTO event the temperature will be in the mid 80's or hotter, so I do need to do a little running in the heat to prepare for racing. But yes, I don't recommend doing intense training in really hot weather :)

Holly did also say she hydrates comfortably on the run. I find on a hot run I need a couple 100ml every couple of k, without that it's very easy to dig urself into a hole!

Very close, 100m shorter than 5k.
