I'm glad a Buffy/Charmed crossover didn't happen. The Buffy/Angel universe is a lot more complex and sophisticated than the Charmed one. Plus, the rules of the Charmed universe is very different. I don't see how it could've have worked unless Buffy found a portal to their dimension?

I’m probably projecting, but especially given some of the ups and downs between all the sisters in the ensuing years (up until just the last few weeks of this year 2023), there is a slightly weird element of tension to Holly and Shannen’s chemistry. Like that sarcastic crack from Holly about Shannen’s “sensitivity.” Maybe I’m wrong and it was all in good fun, but it seemed to have some depth to it. (Lo and behold some years later they had a bit of a falling out for a while.) Anyway then we get some possibly side eyeing sloppy mean girl gossip about the guys on the show enjoying Alyssa’s revealing costuming and a few more weird moments. I wonder how much they had to drink this evening because they do seem a little drunk especially Holly.

He’s translating for the audience that doesn’t speak english. He has to do it at intervals otherwise the breaks for it would be possibly too long. He is waiting for cues in their speaking voices (like subtle pauses) to jump in. Not that odd.
