I have no idea why this song doesn't have BIGGER accolades and recognition within the entire industry... It's seriously one of the best rock songs of the 90's!! That ending is absolutely epic! Holly Mcnarland is one of Rock's greatest female voices.

Saw her back in the 90’s . Sad what the world is becoming. Great Canadian music. Love it . One of Canada’s treasures.

Hello Holly, remember me from Winnipeg? I used to write songs for you that could be done with aboriginal drumming when you lived with your Mom? I'm glad you got that beautiful voice out there to the public where it belonged.

Holly made a big impact on the Canadian rock scene which was already historic in the mid 90's. She's lumped in with what I call "The Great Dead Canadian Bands," although she didn't get a chance to sell out like a lot of them. Noteable performance was Edgefest 97 I think, when she played an afternoon spot on the big stage. We were blown away by not only the quality of her vocals, but her staying power! She rocked it hard. :)

It was the Vancouver one, and I am still smitten to this day! :) Tea Party just off their Transmission tour was another stand out that day.

She never made a impact like at 256k views I don't think so, I think it's a unheard track
@Nadav198319 жыл бұрын
Tredal Racette Hi. 256k for one song is good for a Canadian artist. The US has 10x the population, and has a great deal more artistic exposure. That would be the equivalent of over 2million views for a US artist in the US alone. Remember that this song came out in the mid 90's, so it is past its heyday, meaning it is not searched for like a modern track. The 256k does not quite hint at the radioplay and touring opportunities Holly got in the 90's. She had more of an effect than the 256k indicates.

LOVE Holly McNarland!! LOVE her!!! This is an amazing song, on an amazing album, by an amazing artist!! Fantastic voice!! I saw Holly and her band perform in-store at Tower Records in Toronto on a lovely fall afternoon in 1997. A powerful performance by the band. Holly was as stunningly beautiful then as she is now.

My favourite female vocalist of all-time. Something I just love about her voice!
@jbevan44115 жыл бұрын
It's driven by raw emotions and passion. That is something SERIOUSLY LACKING in todays music scene. It's now about $$$$$ not about the music. That's why her voice stands above to those who hear the true music.
@JFLABBERVILLE3 жыл бұрын
I was in a band with Holly for a short time before she was signed. We used to sit around writing and she generously sang our songs that we wrote and it was like we'd never heard our own songs before. When she sang them she transformed them, I'm not exaggerating. It was magic. Her voice was like a gift from the universe. There was no question that she was going to get signed. She just happened to also be a very cool person. It's one of my life's real regrets that I didn't have more time to write and create with Holly.

Still an excellent song, 17 years later. Holly is an amazing talent, and I'd really love to hear lots of new music from her, and wish her more accolades for her work. I was a teenager through the 90s. So much amazing music came out of Canada, in that decade... a lot of which probably didn't reach audiences outside of Canada, which is a shame.
