I have this kit and I’ve taken to using it for work meetings via the standard apps, in addition to pairing it with my wife and my little trips for quick videos via iPhone (I really can’t be bothered with “real” video. The wind cut is super impressive and the sound quality is better than the blue yeti pro (or x) I have for work stuff. Lacks a tiny bit of bass but I’m blown away by how good this kit is for the size and money. We even used it to stream our wedding.

I was really shocked by how good the sound quality was. That completely won me over.

Same here, my go to for work calls and typical travel usage. If only you could mute/unmute directly from the device (AFAIK you can turn noise canceling on/off or turn the device fully on/off, let me know otherwise), it would be nearly flawless.

@@mnovaes it would be immense if there was some firmware update to apply must to a button double click or long press agreed. We should send feedback to them.

The audio quality is really surprising considering the package. Definitely a great option for those who want increased audio quality along with no lapel mic needed. Waiting to actually get mine, looking forward to use it for other purposes than you’ve shared lol

Enjoy!

Oh I wanted to add two points. The fact it doesn’t split stereo except using the audio cable (camera receiver) portion, and that doesn’t provide enough volume when connected to the Mac. So while this could be great for two person podcast, you’ll have to preamp.

I've really found that to be true with a lot of these mics when connected to computers. I have boost the gain in post with my quality podcasting mic all the time.

I agree the sound quality and small size is very appealing. There are a few cons you didn't touch on. First no internal recording. In public areas you could get interference and then there's nothing you can do. The wind muff is big, difficult to put on take off, you can't tell what direction the mic is pointed at once on, and it's easy to accidentally hit the noise cancelation button. The receiver is very basic and its easy to rotate the gain by accident. Despite those cons the size and convenience is great for casual content.

Those are fair critiques. The lack of internal recording is pretty justified considering the compact size of the transmitters, however.

its too bad they can't design ONE single case to keep all that stuff neatly tucked away. I'm going to spend half my time trying to keep track of all the different parts. Cool mics though

Also I've never seen a fence built like that. did they point joints in the 4x4? A woodworkers fence
@DustinAbbottTWI3 ай бұрын
I built that fence myself. The slats are repurposed cedar from a 150 year old barn in Quebec that was being torn down. The other side looks beautiful with the weathered look. My connections at the 4x4 posts for the supporting 2x4's is just toenailed screws.

If you are spending half of your time searching for these things on a shoot or filming at your house, then maybe the problem isn't the device and more so your eye sight. That's a very nitpicking remark that a lot of users probably don't suffer from!
