I am an entry level employee at Amazon fulfillment and been here a year. Packing and all the other entry level jobs in that area. Very generic, easy, and boring work but I see the importance of it all. Applied for Process Assistant position and did the interview. Three questions based on customer obsession, a past goal and how achieved, and name a failure and consequences. Used Star method had past situations ready and felt like I did pretty good. Even interviewers said they got what they needed and it was great, BUT he wanted answers all based on experience while at Amazon. This floored me. Because the work is so easy, generic and mindless all my answers would be empty. As a good worker doing what comes natural puts you so far ahead of the rest doing this job. A goal would be wanting to get the new position. Customer obsession would be I pack fast to get orders out the door. A failure? How would I have answered these and they get anything meaningful based on 1 year of work at the warehouse?
@HollyLeeCoaching2 жыл бұрын
Great questions. As your industry experience is with Amazon it made sense that they were digging to see if you are a fit and has all the LPs. The expectation is not having every answer for an L4 role, rather, what did you learned and what value have you added?

Hey Holly love your videos, I went through a few of your videos and I think I'm pretty prepared. The ones I'm having the most trouble with is complex problem and most innovative. ALL your answers should be showing ownership as without that you won't be able to deliver results to your customers. Don't overthink - what is the biggest problem you have solve (think large scale).
