Still dont feel sorry for him and it would be disappointing for everyone to forgive him just like that. Ste had plenty of chances to see their true colours and the fact is HE DID. HE knew they were racist but like all extremist he didnt care to admit because he believed he was doing the right thing. I get tiered of people using the he was "groomed" excuse to feel sorry for him. Nobody is born a racist. Every single racist or extremist was groomed at some point. Ste is no different and he is not innocent at all! He is a bigot wether he cares to admit it or not.

tbh this wasnt even really about racism since it wasnt about race but religion. They were islamphobic and i am glad they brought this topic to light because i have never seen a soap do that. They did well.But yeah Stes character is still ruined for me. However i am glad they chose Ste for this storyline and not anyone else because if they had picked someone less popular the viewers wouldnt really have been that interested in the storyline. This way it was a bit more interesting and unpredictable since everyone wanted to see what would happen to Stes character

Powerful scene between Sami and Ste. I love it. There’s something I would like to say though, about extreme views that Sami said. As someone who believes in God, what others view as extreme are not to the believers. Example, In Islam or Catholicism(maybe in some other religions too), homosexuality, just like adultery, is forbidden and sinful. We cannot engage in or support such acts. And many of us are silent about gay rights too because we don’t want to get involved in such matter. Most of us don’t press our beliefs onto others either. To us, it’s not a extreme view but what we believe in. But that is us. And just like gays, people of faith want to live happily with other people too and all we ask for is understanding and respect. Extreme views are when violence towards innocent people are committed. Just like what the right wing people are doing. I don’t mean to insult or offend in any way to anyone but if I do, I am sorry.

Great scene, have not seen it all but I hope Sami said it’s the same that happens on both the far right and religious fronts, both extreme groups groom, and both normal kids and normal muslin kids get caught and taught hatred which neither should feel. I can’t bare to think about the young Muslim kids groomed to go to Syria and other places and can’t come back, they didn’t know someone was using their religion or there pride against them. Any person dragged into far right or religious fanaticism is a lost soul and I hope all their families, whatever faith or non faith and help them come back to the love their lives or religion can bring if taught understanding.

Many Muslims don’t but I have personally met several who do hold homophobic beliefs and use the religion as an excuse for them, I’m sorry but religious people just aren’t entitled to discriminate against and criticise others for something that they have absolutely no control over when you can choose your religion and when the teachings are outdated by about 3000 years, same applies to any other religion that condemns homosexuality. We can’t just ignore the fact that there are several countries where Islam is the state religion that still refuse to abolish the death penalty for homosexuality and again use the teachings of Islam as justification for it.

We send children to some for education nothing else.
