The writers, directors, and producers are the bigger problem IMO. The actors are bound to the script and stage direction. The editing done in post-production can also ruin a lot of hard work. The industry might just want to lower the actors pay.

Fun Fact: actors weren't really celebrities way back when. Directors/producers would have them change their names, tell them which roles they could take, and so on. They treated them like nobody's. But then the social engineers realized they could use them for propaganda. So now all the highest paid actors aren't really that special, none of the singers can sing or write music, but they will say whatever their overlords want the public to hear. That is their purpose: to billboard.

This might be a good decision or it might just come back to bite them in the ass. If you get paid based on a royalty on how many viewers actually watch your movie, I'm assuming to the entirety, some actors might get paid more than what they should be worth and some might get paid much less. This might also result in people wanting to only act and be in movies that are actually going to get them paid. No more diversity or inclusion, cuz you know no one's going to tune in to watch that crap.

Unless it is industry wide, all I see happening is the big names not taking jobs with the new pay arrangement, though it could be good for giving newer talent a chance to make a name for themselves, assuming the writing doesn't tank the show/movie. Think they need to go back to making pilot episodes before TV series are green lit for production, heck with streaming they can make a load of cheap pilot episodes with interesting premises, showing off only the acting/writing and decide what actually gets made into a series based on which pilot episodes attract the most viewers positive feedback etc...

I do agree that actors should be paid what they’re actually worth instead of what they’re activism is, however, playing devils advocate here. It would be very unfair when one actor is complete crap and makes the whole movie undesirable when the other actors are trying their best to make it a good film so I will say there are some flaws when it comes to this one.

As someone who actually wants to get into TV animation, I would welcome taking on this challenge. It would spur me to make a better product. And this is also a version of what shows had to actually do back in the days. A show survived based on if it garnered a big enough audience, usually the Nielsen ratings. And no, it wasn't perfect. Studios would still cancel shows despite good ratings or do shit moves like not market a show to purposefully kill it. But at least there was some accountability going on. And some shows the studios tried to torpedo would do better than expected and go on to succeed. These days shit shows that can't even get a Nielsen rating of 1 still get more seasons.
