There was also Margot Kidder (1948-2018), who committed suicide with alcohol and drugs, and Jim Morrison (1943-1971), who was said to have had a heart attack due to alcoholism.

I'm guessing Jim wasn't included because his exact cause of death is unknown. He was notorious for his alcohol abuse, but it's impossible to say whether his death was a direct result of alcohol

@@tobos8909There's a not entirely farfetched rumor that he overdosed in the toilet of a coffee house in Paris then was carried back to his apartment and left in the bathtub. There were apparently several witnesses who didn't come forward until decades later.

I remember when I was a teenager, ma mother and I were in this long cue all day waiting to get an autograph from Michael Elphick by the end off the day he stumbled out off the building really drunk and went off, ma mother was broken hearted as she was a real fan off his and never had chance to meet him

The problem of teaching nowadays is that they teach you to be an obedient worker and taxpayer, period, but they tell you nothing about the imperative necessity to give a spiritual meaning to your life. They don't tell you that sooner or later everyone is confronted to an addiction. They say nothing about the feeling of emptiness and the behaviours that stem from it. School doesn't teach you the process ,the very cause of addictions and how to handle them. As parents you cannot replace school. Lecturing your children is useless. Teenagers don't listen ( they already know everything...)but you can be a living example of a well balanced humain being by controlling your pulsions and finding purpose in your life.

Curly Howard died of a stroke. He suffered severe hypertension and struggled with obesity. While alcohol certainly contributed to his illnesses, it was the stroke that killed him, not the booze.

Ive cut down on my drinking 4 years ago. Im not perfect i still enjoy a cold beer or two with and after dinner. When i near five i call it a day. Compared to the bottles of bourbon i was drinking im doing extremely well. I didn't drink because i needed it i was just to good at it ...lol. No more hard liquor 4 years baby. Be safe everyone 🙏✌️
