He refused to recognize the election results, called the election "stolen" and "rigged". Then Januar 6, 2021 with the Official Counting Procedure on the Capitol Hill came about. And Trump had the splendid idea to tell the "Stop the Steal" protestors to "go to the Capitol" and "fight like hell". And the "Stop the Steal" protestors had the splendid idea to breach the protected zone and to break into the Capitol, disrupting official proceedings. So no, Trump did _not_ leave office peacefully.

I live in. Blue state that shifted red but was still blue. NJ. I know a lot of people who voted blue but I can tell you they should have gone red because of you talk about policies every single one of them is red. They just didn't like him. My understanding is that while the movie doesn’t portray Trump in the best of light, it also humanizes him to a degree . I’ve heard that’s one of the reasons they decided to abandon Stan. At a post screening interview Stan said that he feels it’s important to explore the human side of the man who more than half the country voted into office . I’m sure that didn’t sit well with many in Hollywood.

I didn't see the movie but if Stan was even just neutral in his portrayal, it wouldn't matter. Trump has a pretty good sense of humor about himself. Shame since Stan is a decent actor and I'll still watch his movies that interest me.
