The funny thing is that I actually like actors just talking about acting being a job or the creative process. The problem starts when Hollywood actors talk about it. When they do, they can sometimes sound like they have first-world problems. Irregardless of that, I don't know if this PR push is going to fly. In today's times, younger generations want to be THE star because of social media. So they do events like the Bridgerton Ball so they can post on their socials. They do fun AI art like they did for Wicked. If Hollywood pivoted this route, and had their celebs be guest hosts, they might actually get somewhere. But it goes against the mystique of the celebrity that gossip columnists feed on.

They have been exposed to America before & they managed to PR their way back into people's hearts by going on speaking tours, meet & greets with regular people etc. Though the Social Media influencer is the new Mass Media & Hollywood & the same Globalist bastards that fund old Hollywood/media are funding many of them.

Hollywood was rotten from the start. My grandparents were friends with Director, Mel Marshall, my father's namesake. Mel Marshall refused the initiation and became a director instead of an actor. My grandfather moved the family out of LA to, "God's Country", which to him was Oregon. That was 80 years ago. Mel was gonna cast my grandmother in a movie but she got pregnant with my dad.

They destroyed the illusion by showing us who they really are and just how much they hate us. There is no going back to the old days, what we saw cannot be unseen. And if all that wasn't enough they made sure no-one with the mind and skill to recreate the old greatness of movie creation is left there or would want to go to that corrupted place. All that is left is a city of fallen angels.

Here's a rehabilitation that Hollywood could do. Stop pissing off fans of franchises, call out bad behavior, fire failures, distance from criminals and most importantly STFU about everything. No more politics, environment, climate, rainbow freaks, morality, or other crap they know nothing about or don't even practice.
@animezilla4486
@animezilla4486 14 күн бұрын
1. Fans of franchise need to be respected that's absolutely true but at the same time fans need to work together with Hollywood not against them there needs to be a balance. 2. There's nothing wrong with pulling politics in your movies you seen it forgot that they've been many movies in the past that feature politics in them the problem is that today's Hollywood standards always focus on politics first and writing stories later if they put storytelling first then they can have politics later keep in mind that politics can work well with a story if it's well written

Pretty sure the best approach is the Keeanu Reeves approach. Being down-to-earth, humble, and avoid politics. Treat people with kindness, courtesy, and respect. Don't be vain and don't be a hypocrite. When reporters ask you a loaded question or your political stance, make them refocus on what they're here for or just deviate onto a different topic. You know, just be a decent human being? Just because these celebrities make more money, for some reason they feel they are above everyone else. Criminal justice and decency apply to everyone equally; to those Hollywood celebrities: you aren't untouchable.

My personal tip for Hollywood: don’t try nostalgia! You have burned all bridges on nostalgia with stuff like Star Wars, I (and probably others) reject anything that is obviously just targeting my nostalgia. Try to win me back with actually good content instead, and better do it fast, before somebody else locks me in on their better content.

Isn’t it usually called a cartel, when competitors coordinate like this in other industries? Kind of frightening how these media outlets aren’t an actual universe, but ultimately just a single opinion aka like if everything was written by a single AI or person. That level of no variation at all must be a late stage death spiral phase, because I can’t remember any healthy industry being reduced to such a single minded approach.

You can try to channel ‘Old Hollywood Glamour’, but it doesn’t mean squat. Many of the old stars of Hollywood-the TRUE stars from its original days, actually cared and loved their fans. They knew their fans was what made them, and oft tried to display themselves properly. They didn’t go out of their way to insult their fans or put every detail of their life out there. And they were much kinder! Sorry, modern Hollywood! You’ll never be on par with the true Hollywood stars who paved the way for you. The problem is the reason that the old school Hollywood got a pass. Was that they understood they were not ordinary people. So they had a concept of nobles obligation so they had to be stellar in reputation as an example for people. But later on they were nagged on this responsibility. They wanted to be seen as ordinary. In the age of the cell phone and rumors. You can't pull that crap anymore.

The studio had fixers. The series "Ray Donovan" was about a fixer. Do whatever you needed to do, to keep the idiot actor safe because of their idiocy.

Donna Reed was as "Glamorous," as they come. And she was an actual nice human being, who was raised on an Iowa farm during The Great Depression. She left to go out to Hollywood, and the first day she was out and about in Los Angeles; she was wearing casual clothing with rips in it, while eating an ice cream cone. The studios found out, and told her to NEVER EVER go out like that again; because they were making her a STAR. No A lister lives their own life the way they want to, their controlled. They've sold their soul and that's it.

Interesting how the town of “Creatives” comes up with the same trendy “creative” Universal language/PR messaging. Many of us LOVED true “old Hollywood”. Now that we know some of the horror stories behind their lives & the same sick conduct going on…do we really want nostalgia? Or do we want authenticity?!?! Acting is a wonderful career but I don’t need to be preached to by woke 20something mentalities shouting from a megaphone their beliefs. I think we’ve all become way wiser to PR puff bullshit! Thank you for your panel & show!!!🙏🏻❤️

I don’t understand why hollyweird pushes 5’s that can’t act. Xendaya is not attractive or a good actor. She reminds me of Christen Stewart. No range at all. Unless you count grumpy and frowning.

I never even heard of that first woman. I haven't watched a movie in many, many years . I believe the last one I rented from Red Box was ' Malevolence '? With Angelina Jolie.

The impending release of the Jeffrey Epstein and Sean “Diddy” Combs guest lists could wipe out most of the entertainment celebrities out there. That’s why Americans don’t like celebrities anymore.

If they actually pivot they need to show it in their productions. And if they actually do, we'll see it in 3, maybe 2.5 years in theatres at the earliest.

Zendaya, Ariana Grande, and the new actors doesn’t draw me to watch them in movie theaters, award shows, and their new tv shows. Don’t really get their appeal? Plus, you’ll see Zendaya in 2-3 or more projects in a year … 🙄

Hollywood now trying to cosplay Hollywood then doesn't change the quality of movies being made and the age of instant information and social media that exists outside of it. All you needed to do to escape this mess you made for yourselves is never enter, and it's far too late for that.
