Best Recovery to Chris Gore. It's a good reminder though, what to look for if a friend is slurring and not feeling well. F.A.S.T. F - face, ask them to smile and look for drooping. A - ask them to raise both arms in front of them, if there's weakness on one side. S - speech, slurring or fumbling words. T - keep track of how long symptoms have persisted, when getting worse. Strokes are all about getting treatment as early as possible. Huge difference in damage, recovery, and life-saving.

When Ray Donovan 1st started coming out weekly, the 1st episode dropped on a day my husband and I was visiting with his parents and his dad said he wanted to watch this new show. It turned into a weekly thing we did every week of go watch the show with his dad and then we would make dinner or go to steak and shake the only sit down restaurant open near by. There is so much memorable moments made because we had a routine that really only started because of Ray donovan. Weekly.

My take on binge vs scheduled release: All new content should be scheduled release. It keeps interest going for longer and allows the "buzz" to spread wider and stay sustained both in depth and breadth. It also keeps people on your streaming service longer. Binge releasing can work with older/syndicated content. Binge releasing eliminates the ability for fan theories to develop between episodes. It cheapens any tension generated because it will likely be alleviated in the next episode, which is just after your bathroom break. There isn't enough time and mystery or suspense for viewers to get truly invested in the show and talking about it. Frankly, I think a lot of people would actually enjoy having several shows that only showed bi-weekly, but ALL year long. The old 26 episode season model would have worked for this. You'd have non-stop "comfort TV" that wad ALWAYS new content. Frankly, you could run two "interconnected" series running parallel but on alternating weeks (e.g. Warehouse 13 and Eureka or Cheers and Frasier). Frankly, this would have been perfect for Marvel TV shows that focused on individual street-level heroes.

I was waching this live when Mauler came in, and i was 100% sure he was about to destroy Fallout. I actually binge watched the show in 5 hours at 1,5x speed to prepare for Open Bar and it was tottaly worth it. Mauler brought some sense to the world, and the chat turned on him fast. Im not surprised, because a lot of people loved the first seasons of Mandalorian and they are 1:average, 2:crap and 3:dogshit. Not very often you Drinker speechless, but if someone can do it, its Mauler. Cant wait for the EFAP. Hope he invites Creetosis and Arch.

As he lays dying, he finally breaks down and says he's tired of all this shit. One moment of bravery followed by a split second of weakness that would make Maximus doubt everything. I know binging is popular- To me, there's a certain art to weekly tv where, even if you're putting out a 7-hour long movie, you wanna make each episode satisfying on a base level. I also wanna see episodic tv come back. I miss getting a great 1 hour or even half-hour story on a regular basis. To me, it emphasizes efficient and effective storytelling.

Some classic Who does not exist anymore. BBC recorded them on video tapes that was more expensive than film. They erased them to record other shows. Sad but true. When they sent shows to out of country affiliates they would send film copies and those are occasionally discovered in the vaults of these affiliates.

The problem with a weekly show is for new ones. One bad episode or two in a row is far worse. All at once means you can just skip past what ever you dont like to see if it gets better.

2 issues: Majority of stuff today is bad. And people today have such low attention spans. Stuff in the past got better because the initital first episodes were setting up world building and characters and their dynamics and people today have such low attention spans that they dont want to sit through that. Writing of modern shows is so bad that the writers think dragging it out with the "slow burn" will trick people into thinking it is deep and symbolic. When it is really just pretentious.

Everything Gary has said about the binge model is correct from a business standpoint and it also cheapens the experience....well streaming in general has cheapened art. It's made everything too easily accessible. There is value in scarcity. Personally, I can't binge TV anymore anyway. Even with shows I like. 2 episodes is my max for a day. I can't stand wasting entire days just watching TV. I'm not 18 anymore. I understand with comfort shows you can just have that on in the background while you do something else.

People who think the show doesnt retcon FNV are wikipedia tourists. To be clear, it retcons other things from other games, shady sands is simply the biggest issue of note. The show has shady sands nuked in 2277 (if you dispute this you literally dont understand diagrams or flow charts). FNV takes place in 2281, 4 years later. Multiple major characters though reference Shady Sands and the fact it still exists and people live there, as a capital of a nation controlling 700k people from Cali to Oregon to Nevada and Arizona. The most wide perpetuation of "its not a retcon bro" are shill channels like Mantis and Juicehead, as well as BGS hack writer Emil Pagliarulo, whose writing is widely mocked for its poor and inconsistent quality as well as his penchant for contradictng himself multiple times in the same game. Re: what mauler said for fan divide, honestly people who like FNV vs people who like Fo76 are like people who watch Andor vs people who watch TLJ. One group likes details, dialogue and story, the other likes "omg! Brand!"

Re Doctor Who- this past week I was watching Doctors 5-7 for the first time (a serial each), as they were the only ones I hadn't seen up through Matt Smith's run and I wanted to catch up. I saw 5's last serial, 7's first, and 6's second to last (Terror of the Vervoids). Have to say, I enjoyed all of them. Including 6, who I've heard isn't as well regarded as many of the others. Too bad about his outfit- I didn't mind it so much from certain angles, but when there would be a good view from the front, especially of the top, it was kinda distractingly ugly. I could have done without 7's ??? sweater and hat as well. But I liked them as the Doctor, anyway, and it was nice to see some entertaining new-to-me Who eps.

Everybody else we like the binge model just give it to us and be done with it.Young people don't watch the weekly model. What streaming services have found Is that people will watch the first episode and maybe second episode with a weekly model and then drop off. Would many people end up doing is not watching you every week and waiting for it all to be out there and then they binge it. So the streaming services end up spending more money on housing each episode every week when they can just put it all out at once and not have to have that extra expense
