That's what I am worried about actually. The writing shown in the trailer is very promising plus how themes and character traits effect the whole series universe and how the series plays it out is the reason why I wanted to see it for myself. I am optimistic that it would work but then again with everything in the media being baits to awards and baits to marginalized groups ie. LGBTQ+ and people of color, I could understand why people would be skeptical.

Damn... halfway through the series, I don't care what the haters say but it's soooo good. I never thought Jim Parsons for example can act like that - I actually shed a tear, lol... and David Corenswet isn't just a face but an impressive acting chops to back it all up...the series is not actually hardcore dramatic but when it needed to - damn it delivers. Darren Chris is a no brainer...the casting is stellar, Ryan Murphy is a genius...the production is superb...will finish everything tonight.

Hopefully after he will have broken out of the S.C. mold, but that Scarlett O'Hara line was completely Sheldon Cooper. Just based on the trailer, I think it would have been beneficial for them to have radically changed Jim Parson's look. I get that the movie has to be correct to the period, but the 'White People in charge' line I think is going to polarize audiences today. People won't understand 'That was then...' Today, anyone can succeed with diligence, hard work, self-responsibility, and a belief in oneself. The victim mindset is a thing of the past. I'm afraid today's liberal audiences are still not ready to accept that playing the victim card is old and worn out.

"I want to take the Hollywood story and give it a re-write" While this hasn't gotten the best reviews for the surface story; I think when you look deeper into what the writer/director/producer is saying, it's brilliant. What if we were braver, stood up for what we believed, decided to go against the grain and ultimately listened to our inner voice. How the world would be different, if those from just a few decades ago had asked and acted upon those questions in a more positive way. Ultimately they are asking: where would we be now if they had.

Binged it all last night. They REALLY should have made it a 10 episode series and SLOW down some of the events. Holy shit, the last three episodes were in hyperspeed. We saw like 5 years go by. Divorces, proposals, marriages, deaths basically within two episodes lol I thought it was interesting how each of the characters and story messages really inter laced. And it's ironic how Jim parsons felt the movie "peg/Meg" was not finished, when I feel this series kind of did the same. I mean it is, but the set up was too fast. Anyways, I digress and did not expect some of what it turned out to be, but enjoyed it! Love that Era with the milkshakes and diner life
@donizekor22154 жыл бұрын
I agree! However, I think that's what made it so good!!! It went so fast that you just wanted to keep going until before you know it, it's the last episode. I think it may have been intentional. I also liked that I didn't have to beg for things to happen! OMG! I detest TV shows that are dragged out forever. But I agree though, they should have slowed it down just a bit... at least one more episodes. There was so much happening at once it felt like a marathon. And now, we have to wait for a season two that is not even in production yet...the agony!
