“Early September”. Going to Orlando in October so won’t get a chance to reride, but it is so rough I typically wouldn’t ride more than once in a trip anyway

A terrible decision and huge loss for Universal. It is a great ride and will be sadly missed. Why don't they focus on removing Fast and Furious?
@Hyruleanknight02823 сағат бұрын
I lived this ride so much I rode it 5 times in a row it was one of my favourite rollercoasters there
@crashcoaster385222 сағат бұрын
@@adamcarter6528It's not a terrible decision at all, this coaster has caused problems for Universal since the day they decided to build it. Watch ElToroRyan's problematic coasters video on it.
@grymare515923 сағат бұрын
If not Intamin I could definitely see them go with Mack again. Three out of five coasters in Epic Universe are by Mack and a Stryker Coaster would be a great spiritual successor to HRRR with it's shorter trains. Maybe instead of a vertical lift they could do a vertical launch and then spice up the layout with snappy inversions and hangtime similar to Voltron.

I’m sad that it is leaving the park because it is a main icon for Universal Orlando and it was a coaster that I got some of my best photographs of. I also feel that it was an uncomfortable ride experience

Having watched Eltororyan’s problematic history of RRR you can see why universal want to get rid of it. It’s far too expensive for them to continue to maintain. Definitely worth a watch.

I think this was my first coaster at Universal when i first went in 2015. I loved it! Loved the idea of a continuous moving track at the start so the queue wasn't always too long. It's a shame it's going but as you say it's probably worn down with all the rides. Not sure what I would like to see replace it and I wonder what the theme will be? Maybe the tilt coaster or something like Ride to happiness.

I'm not sad to see it go. Completely agree it was a rough uncomfortable experience. I didn't appreciate that lap bar crushing my "gentleman's area". Its redeeming feature was the music playlist. When they cut that it wasn't worth it anymore. I skipped it during last year's visit.

Intamin has been listed as the manufacturer of the replacement attraction in documents seen in a video by Theme Park Stop yesterday along with photos of a track at an Intamin facility in Europe that is speculated to be for the replacement attraction.

To be honest, even though Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is an awesome coaster at Universal Studios Florida, it offers a rough experience. It's SO surprising that Universal would make that decision, but I think it's good news to hear. This means that the park is ramping up for something BIG to come after Epic Universe. As for the coaster type that I could see replace Rockit, I could see the addition of an Intamin Hyper coaster, similar to Hyperion at Energylandia, as well as keep the music theme.
@WelshGuitarDude15 сағат бұрын
Launches are just faster operations to get the same result, plus a launch is more thrilling than a chain lift. I think chain lifts might be a dying thing in the next 20 years except for wooden coasters for any future models.

My favourite tune on RRR (Rip Ride Rocket) was Madonna - Like a Virgin, what a twisted thrill!

I’ve always thought of this ride as sorely out of place. It felt and looked sort of cheap to me. Sort of antithetical to the typical Universal investment. That said, this was installed in 2009, at the peak of the massive recession in the US, so I get it, but I’m not super nostalgic towards or sad about this rides removal.

I’ve never been on this ride, but I’m kinda sad it’s going either way. 2024 has been a sad year of rollercoaster losses, so it’s a shame to see Rip Ride Rocket go. Don’t know if it was good or not, but I liked the fact it didn’t really have a coherent theme and was just a high octane coaster for the sake of it.

I’m glad I’ll get a few last rides in August. I hope it isn’t a Fast and Furious clone from USH and would love a Back to the Future theme. I do have to say that the universal studios park is very poor and nobody addresses it. Simpsons is poor, the area to the right of the entrance is totally dead, Fast N Furious is an empty plot, MIB is old. I personally think it needs a significant bit of work next

As much as Rip Ride RockIt was iconic at the Studios I do know this ride is quite problematic and had had a lot of issues and now become very expensive to maintain so I can see why it is going I will miss the on board audio and being able to pick your own song for the ride. I do think this is likely to be manufactured by Intamin as they have worked with Universal a lot at the moment so that wouldn’t surprise me there. I would quite like to see a Ghostbusters themed roller coaster there as part of Rip Ride Rockit you would go through a building that looks like the firehouse from Ghostbusters and that used to be the firehouse from the films because there used to be a Ghostbusters show there in that area, and that area is themed to the streets of New York so I could see them maybe have that as the entrance and a small queue and station there for a roller coaster and maybe it could be called something like the Ghostbusters Roller Ghoster ( lol ) but yeah can see it already haha, but I wouldn’t mind if they also went with something original and have a new theme that isn’t an existing IP but I guess we will just have to wait and see what replaces it

I think another reason they don’t do lift hills is they are much harder to theme in however using a launch means it’s easier to theme around the launch and stay low down!! Another great video have a great end of the year!
