I just found your channel because of your Survival Horror Video, and i gotta say you really nail your Videos they’re are great! I love the atmosphere and the style, usually i don’t enjoy videos where someone sits there talking but there’s something special about you and the way you talk, and how you use music and the atmosphere. You perfectly catch the vibe of the whole theme with all elements provided! Keep up the great work!

Rocky is among my all-time favorite films. I remember the great debate during the 'Stallone-Schwarznegger' early 90s heyday - everyone kept asking who was the better action star. I always felt it was Stallone. He wasn't just an action star, but also a talented and adaptive man who had a great sense of intuition when it came to storytelling and characters. Cop Land is another film I love from him - the character build-up and sense of timing (especially during the climax) is incredible there.

YES! As well as the first Rambo film and how it dealt with ptsd. He was always doing more cerebral action

So glad to see you upload again this soon. Rocky movies are great. Recently my brother started watching them and I just sat down and joined them. Rocky's theme song is legit one of the most hype, uplifting pieces of music I've ever heard, seriously. I enjoyed both Creed movies and I'll watch the third, looks great. But I genuinely understand the frustration Balboa has now that the franchise was kinda taken away from him...

America was so much more grownup in the ‘70s. Not just as adults, but as kids. Listen to interviews with young people from the time. They can actually articulate a thought without absurd analogies or a hundred “likes.” But like, with all things, the pendulum swung too far in one direction and then super surprisingly that pendulum is still swinging.

Yo Adrian! Love Rocky. My aunt from the Philly area used to tell me about how everyone there loved the movie when it came out. She went and saw it multiple times. I am a bit younger so my first time seeing Rocky 1 wasn't until the mid 2000's. I have this weird nostalgic urge feeling that makes me wish I could've lived in that type of era/setting. So many values and lessons can be learned from Rocky. I still draw on this movie for motivation almost daily. I'm currently going through a bit of a career change with a huge mountain to climb and man that iconic quote from the 2006 reboot gives me just what I need to keep punching. Great vid man. What's your opinion on the Creed series? I know Stallone has issues with the new one coming out, I think they canned him or something based on what I see on his IG, he wasn't happy about whatever happened. I found them good but I always kind of felt like something was missing.
@OpticLureProductions2 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah Rocky is such a hometown hero of Philly, I could only imagine the hype when it came out, the city even gave Rocky his own statue lol. I head about the stuff with Creed but not sure how to feel about it, I like you never found the franchise having the same charm of the Rocky films. But in a way its cool that a newer generation gets their own version of Rocky and they can always go back and watch the originals which really hold up even today.

@@OpticLureProductions That's a great point. Now that I think about it, I guess I feel the same way about the later Rocky sequels as I do the Creed sequels. I prefer the first movie of each, as is usually the case with any movie sequels for me personally.

he doesn't lose. ultimately it's a love story. he wins the girl. he wins in life. those are the wins that count. that's the point. that's why he has to lose the match to prove that point. and that's why nobody remembers he actually lost the match. I'm only at 30 seconds so I'm hoping to see that you got the point. Else it's a bit of a let down. edit: you nailed it.

3 and 4 got a tad schlocky with 80's culture, but through the entire series carrying through the Creed movies Rocky has a pretty consistent arc of development that isn't paralleled by many series. Not only him, but Adrian as well.
