As a huge fan of HU and have seen them 8 times live and met them multiple times, this song has a sad meaning behind it, they were depressed and didn’t know if they going to keep going with the music after the rough departure of the former lead singer, the one with the gold mask (Danny) is his replacement, but they have killed it

You should definitely listen to the songs Young, Bullet, California Dreaming, Lights Out, Lump Your Head and for fun War Child and Pigskin.. Those last two are not at all what you might be thinking hahaha. The song Empire from their last album is also a great song to listen to!

It’s funny that you bring up a possible vendetta haha this was on the album right after they parted ways with their old singer and it started kind of a rap beef between him and Hollywood undead, so a lot of the lyrics on this album are pointed words whether they’re directed at the old singer or just in general is up for interpretation

Personally, I have an issue with bands that wear masks or heavy face paint. They may claim to do it to make the focus entirely on the music, but instead it makes me focus entirely on the artist. First, it makes me suspicious, because hiding your face makes me doubt your sincerity. It gives me reason to suspect you have something to hide. And second, when I watch a music video or concert footage, I'm looking to see the artist's emotional state and body language - nonverbal cues that add emphasis to the song and allow me to reader deeper into your soul. Deliberately hiding those cues being a mask...again, makes me doubt you. Third, I tend to lip-read to more easily catch lyrics in music. Obviously, I can't do that if you're wearing a mask. I first heard Hollywood Undead in a video game trailer. I was intrigued about their music enough to look them up on KZbin so I could get a better sense of the band. Once I realized that they wore masks all the time, my interest evaporated.

Then you need to go to a concert.. ive seen them live 3 times.. all three times they take their masks off after like 3-5 songs. The rest of the concert is maskless. Also this is one of their older songs. Newer albums they wear less and less of their masks as they've gotten older

@@bryanm255 First, I don't go to concerts ever. Too many people, too many souls around. It's incredibly uncomfortable. Second, it doesn't matter if they wear masks less now. They lost my interest by wearing them in the first place. KISS took off their face paint - still don't listen to them. I know they make pretty good music, I just have no interest.
