I’m a baby of the 70’s. Too young to retire, too old to move without hurting. I believe I am classed as early end gen x. The generation thing is a means of labelling. Gives you something to either rally for or rail against. I don’t care who you are or how old you are, so long as you’re not a ****. Just be nice. It’s a mindset that has kept me happy and stress free for almost 50 years

The flood of memories with song!!!! The biggest memory i have was heading to the local skate spot in a old school ford escort GT with this blasting. This was way before skate parks so we had to skate illegally. Man i also miss that skateboard. It was an acme with an old trailer park lady smoking a cigarette. Best board i ever owned.

This song brings back the nostalgia hard. Three Dollar Bill Y’all came out in ‘97 (I believe is their best overall album). But their insane hot streak on top was between ‘99-‘01. Significant Other & Chocolate Starfish are amazing to listen to & have a great time. I also love their EPs in the mid-‘00s

Morning gentlemen…as a GenX lady (70s kiddo, 80s teen) I was super late to the Nu Metal fan club… actually, I still know very little of it so I’m psyched to take this journey with you two! I was an old-school metalhead when nu metal started coming out and I’ll admit, I found it to be ridiculous at the time, I was digging industrial metal like Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, and alternative bands like Jane’s Addiction but then I moved to the mountains of Colorado and went a whole other way altogether, funk, and ska and killer underground bands that came to town and our ‘sister towns’ across the country, that kind of stuff…. The Internet was just starting so there wasn’t a lot of easy music yet, our radio stations sucked lol it was such a small town. It was either country, main stream hip-hop, or old school rock not much else in between the only good station was coming out of the college, we got alternative sounds but it was rare, so nu metal just wasn’t easily available really and I didn’t seek it out… the only metal I ever got was what I already owned lol. Years later I was back in the city in my 30s and that’s when I was working with some dudes who turned me on to KoRn and I started to see that nu metal was in fact not ridiculous, actually great in many ways so I’m here for it 🤘🏼✨ Btw… one of the bands we used to go see a lot was the Psychedelic Zombiez out of Denver, if y’all still have room on your Halloween playlist, you need to add them they’re so much fun! “Babaganouj” is a great one to start with (ba ba gan oosh…also made with chick peas like hummus lol) 💕✌💫😎
