I don't think its creepy? Its like history! More than likely you knew the person passed on. I find it very interesting to learn a little about him, where his or hers final resting place is and how the person p[assed! Very interesting. Lots of them passed on not so old. The thing is. I know every person that is buried in this cemetery, is not there! There body is but not the person. They left that body the instant they passed on to their "new" life in Paradise. like " *Jesus* " said to Mary when she went to Our Lords burial spot. " _Why do you look for the Living among the Dead?_ *Jesus is not here* ..✝✝💒⛪ 🎄🎅🏿❤

Think it all depends which generation /age you were when you first watched it, as that’s when it leaves the biggest impression on you. Mine was Alistair Simms too...but I can’t fault the other two brilliant actors, who brought their own spin or interpretation to the story ...they were ALL excellent, but it wasn’t as scary the 2nd and 3rd time ,plus I knew what was going to happen, so as I said, the first time you see a fabulous film like that, it pins you to your seat, and your eyes riveted to the screen, and you NEVER forget where you saw it, how old you were etc etc.. It stays in your head. 👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💐❤️
@mangot5894 жыл бұрын
@@helencheadle5285 I think Alister Sims was fine. I guess I don’t like the way it ended. What with all the toys and stuff. And the job for his nephew, etc. I actually like all of the actors, but I like the MOVIE that stays the closest to the book. But I watch all of them, every Christmas, even the made for TV ones. I love them all, Disney ones, Ebby ones, any one I can find lol. its starting to be a tradition at our house. But Patrick is my fav.
@celiagorleski27164 жыл бұрын
@@helencheadle5285 I so agree. I tend to prefer most movies or songs the first time I saw or heard them. When I lived in Illinois, this version was always shown on Christmas Eve. Things changed when I moved to Texas. And we canceled cable about 15 years ago for financial reasons. I know I bought the Alisters Sims version but my world has been turned upside down for over a decade and I need to find it. They do show it on KZbin. I actually like the Susan Lucci twist on the story where she plays Ebbie Scrooge. We're changing Christmas this year so that the only presents will be what Santa brings my grandsons who live with us. What we would have spent will go to our Disney fund. That should free up time for watching more Christmas movies. Thank you for commenting. I really enjoyed reading it.

@marthawelch42894 жыл бұрын
The Lockharts were wonderful in their Christmas Carol movie but I think the best Scrooge movie stars the very interesting Scottish actor, Allistair Sims. He just IS Ebenezer. And, at my number 2, I totally agree with you is Mr. Magoo's version, with the voice of Jim Backus. The emotions and the themes are all there and the music score is absolutely fantastic. The ballad performed by Ebenezer's lost love is hauntingly beautiful and never fails to bring tears to my eyes. Unfortunately, many of the recordings of this classic are out of order and/or missing scenes. They are still worth watching. And, I so miss the variety shows that always had a Christmas themed show or special, many of their stars mentioned in this video - Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, Perry Como, Nat King Cole.
