A very good person doing the interview. He didn’t.t interfere. My best friend in our Kibbuts is fromHolland, she also has a great story. It has been recorded and is in archives of Yad Va Shem in Jerusalem

Thank You for this testimonial. Being Dutch myself, it is extra lovely to hear Bertie's story ( in Dutch accent) of how she and her family all survived the Nazi occupation. I wish the interview didn't end so abruptly and it would have been great to see some pictures from the past...

What a tremendous story teller. She actually told three stories concurrently, her own story, her mother's and her father's. Her story told about famous events that I have read about, so fascinating.

I am glad that she survived and has been able to cope with her past. I had a friend whose family were in the concentration camps and her father had a very hard time with his memories which affected his daughter. To this day I cannot understand why people can be so cruel to one another, we all come from one source. I wish people would understand that when you are being cruel to another you are in reality harming yourself, it’s kind of going backwards instead of forward, you are regressing towards brutality. Why are people so devoid of empathy and humanity.

Why did it cut off early in mid sentence?

To me Bertie doesn't have a Dutch accent at all.

We have had on this earth men like Hitler, Attila, Putin and now trump who are born without any feelings and who have been the cause of so much pain and deaths. I often wonder if they think what will happen to them at the time of their deaths.
