I use a 12x24 inch floor tile on top of my mats, then level. Both the mat and tile are in a gull-size baking sheet, so it’s easy to level.

I'd maybe fill the molds with 4mls of resin, wait until tacky and then add the strip but make sure to press from the center outwards to prevent trapping air. But they still turned out great! 😁

Very nice! Thanks for sharing your experimentation. Have you considered using dicro-ish film? I have some but no domino molds. It works good in other molds, either cut to size or cut up in small chips ( pain in the rear to get them small). But a bottom coat of black resin really makes them look like dichroic glass. Little windows on KZbin has some videos showing how to work with it. Now, off to find domino molds 😀

For the ones that didn't come out quite right with the pieces of vinyl, make a complete set, sand them, clear coat them with a clear spray paint them and sell them

When you do this do half the domino. Then put a thin layer of UV Resin then finish off with epoxy.

I haven't had good luck with UV Resin. It always stays sticky for me!
