We have a special guest on the channel for today's Hololive game - Jonathan (Evolt) will be piloting his Mumei/Rushia build that he's been refining over the past few months ever since its debut in JP! This build utilizes the new Mumei Lv3 to give the deck an advantage combo and a finisher with the same Climax! Meanwhile, Mike will be using a Chloe/Marine build, bolstered by powerful new options like the La+ Lv0 from Summer Premium and the Suisei Brainstorm from the Ambassador Set!

So the Suisei Cruxe (is that spelled correctly?) always goes first correct? It can confirm top checks for cards like Chloe, Mel, Aqua and Moona Combo?

Crusch from Re:Zero is the namesake of this topcheck effect, based off of RZ/S46-E010. The effect activates on attack, so if other effects that also activate on attack are active (like those you mentioned), you have a choice in the order of resolution. But realistically yes, if you don’t already know the top card of your deck you would always activate Suisei’s topcheck ability first.

Games like this are why this channel is so fantastic. Seeing how both of you navigate lines and the explanation behind particular decisions (even smaller ones) is super instructive and demonstrates just how high the skill ceiling is in Weiss Schwarz. Curious on why not teching in tap counter for Rushia lost? Is it cause of more hex proof cards in the meta?

Haachama rest counter was in my initial testing brews just as a general good counter to have, but in testing a few cons came up: -The Haachama counter was mostly there as a scare tactic and forced players to respect it. I had very little situations where the Haachama counter would have help me without hindering my following turns. In further testing after I removed the counter from my deck, players who did not know my decklist were still constantly playing around the counter as if I had it. - Most games, I would never have the hand to discard for the rest counter cost. On the turn, I would use Rushia to summon another character, my hand would typically be at either 5 or 6 cards in total. This configuration makes it hard to want to use rest counter at all since I would be sacrificing essentially all my hand resource. This issue is further compounded by the fact that this is 8 Pants trigger. The 5-6 card hand I normally have in this case would include a CX which cannot be discarded for the Haachama counter cost. - The usage of Haachama counter also conflicts with Mumei finisher. Mumei's cost is [Pay 3 stock, Discard 2 cards, Send CX to WR]. Let's say you had a full 7 hand the prior turn and used a Haachama counter. Your ending hand will most likely be the Mumei and the CX. If you clock the next turn, you can get to the hand necessary to do Mumei, but there is no flexibility and follow up as you have to commit your hand to do combo. This also assumes that the attack that the counter was used on didn't put you to 3/6. You could also run into a situation where your opponent also played around Mumei as well and left a board that Mumei has issues getting a reverse on. Furthermore, I personally don't like putting all my eggs in 1 basket for a finishing turn. Overall, I prioritized getting my deck's game plan off and the flexibility to pivot lines when needed over the Haachama counter which may let me live a finishing turn 1 out of maybe 10 games. This deck already forces your opponent to do sub-optimal lines to not fold to the deck's strengths, so I believe dedicating deck slots to increase the floor/consistency of the deck is better that trying to increase a ceiling that your opponent already is playing around (and sometimes not able to).
