I really started noticing this with 3D Debuts with the Holostars EN lads. Theirs were so creative and fun. So once I realized that I was like oh man, going forward, I'm sooooo looking forward to the Advent girls' debuts and then soonish after that ReGloss. Cover's 3D designs and stages have just become so crazy and creative since the trailblazing days. It was incredibly cool being able to see like Altare actually play an instrument. Bijou, though, really took it and ran with it. I can almost picture her getting really excited asking management "oh can we do a Souls boss fight?? Oh! Also like maybe a Pokemon battle with Pebbles???!" Then we had Mumei's 3D live, and I was in love with the crazy box stage that's all screens and then the cute atmosphere of the camp site. It's just extremely cool technology and so awesome to see how far they've come.

Makes me wonder, the number of times a member from any JP/ID/EN, tried "I'd like to do it like this in my 3D/birthday/etc", but either got refused for "logistic reasons", or budged locked 😒 Fauna is currently having brief creative surges for her TTRPG and variety shenaningans recently. We may not see those so much with the newer generations going forward and all the increased production of future 3D's, but the Myth gen will always hold a special place with their early 3D jank :D

Now thinking back at it, yeah I do enjoyed when myth had their 3D debuts and the effort that they all had to compile for their streams. However I heavily agree that because of the lack of massive budgets and whatnot there was more liberty and expressive freedom that didn't utilize all of these fancy programs or highly expensive tech. Overall it was quite charming and just being able to just be them and well of course the scuff and chaos is included as well made it very charming and memorable. In the end, I'm glad that Kiara and the Myth girls were the ones who lead this creative and chaotic liberties to heart and made it so memorable. Thank you Kiara for being the ones to lead the EN branch of this company.

While kiara says this, most of her jp senpai was saying this about Myth. The foundation grows stronger after each gen. The older gens walk so newer gens can fly. It's kind of sad when look at individual goals. The fomo is real because old gens want to fly too but no matter how much they try they pretty much at their peaks now with an established fanbase and expectations, the novelty has worn off.

I disagree, the only thing myth had early on was the most recent rigging/live2d. Trailer for myth was made by ame, one manager was assigned to three talents and cover didn't really believe that holoen would be so popular. Myth had to wait 2 years for 3d, while most jp members already had multiple 3d lives. I'm not trying to blame anyone it makes sense considering they were the first gen also covid and all that stuff but they didn't have much in the first 2 years.

The new gens are flying right now with resources available to them thanks to jp senpais walking and myth running.

The Myth gals and later Promise have been advocating for things they want improved and changed for the next incoming gens and it show's. Kiara and Ame pushed for so many interesting projects and streams in the early days, scouting a lot of talent from the fans.

You have to remember four years ago, hololive wasnt even that big so even after a few years of the debut of myth I can tell that even then they dont have a lot of budget. To be honest, I never cared about fancy environments or objects in 3D streams. It's always a bit weird and scuffed, even with the technology advancements. What's important is for the talent to have fun doing whatever activities they planned out, and to maintain a fun and lighthearted atmosphere throughout. I'd always much rather have that, over super fancy visuals of an imaginary place where people play pretend and it's kinda awkward for everyone involved.

There's just so much we don't know about the exact terms of those agreements, so we can't conclude anything definitive. My *guess* is that the idea is that while they're paying for it, they probably aren't paying the full market rate it'd cost them to book remotely similar staff and facilities outside of Cover's studio. Whether that makes it a "good deal" or not if something we can't possibly know as outsiders.
