I see some people saying that the thing watching Bae is actually 'Us' and though that would be a cool twist, I wonder if what she's seeing could also just be in her head. The title is Ocellus, which means an eye-like marking (like the colored eyes on a peacock tail or eye markings on butterfly wings). If you look closely at every scene, there is something that fits that description. In the Breakfast scene, the 'eyes' are the blueberries at 2:15, in the bath scene it's the bubbles, emphasized in 2:18, in the dressing room Bae starts to freak out when she see's IRyS's twin buns, which look like eyes 3:42, and finally the stage scene where the big eye could be the stars, 4:00, (and maybe the moon?) looking like a big eye to Bae since she is looking up at the sky and not the audience. The last scene is tricky since we don't see the room clearly, but looking at the patterns in the previous scenes it wouldn't surprise me if it was something that looked like an eye on the ceiling and not a paranormal force or 'Us'. But that's just a theory!

As far as I've seen up until now it seems like a commentary of going from regular life to being an internet vtuber where normal life is stripped away and replaced with another life where their online personas are "on camera" 24/7, no matter if they're actually streaming or not. The fan base will never give up trying to find out every action, feeling, and or daily life these girls take. It is too late to go back. Just like coco, etc that graduate, the always watching eye of Fandom will never let them go. Big props to everyone for their voice acting in this short, but especially Bae with how she plays against type compared to what we usually see of her. Num's illustrations are wonderful as well, capturing the ominous feeling of isolation that Bae experiences and the pensive tension building in Calli throughout the story.

While the first one took us back to juvenile internet conspiracies, this one felt actually chilling. Might be because it implies a more... unearthly evil, influencing the characters. An inner madness, a paranoia that keeps growing in Bae... but then actually manifests in Calli. A twist! But then, despite all that happened, the evil presence is STILL there at the end! An amazing performance, by all girls, but i'm especially impressed with Bae's ability to deliver a really chilling monologue!

That was genuinely creepy! Amazing Fauna. Even though the title "Ocellus" gives away the idea of a watchful "eye", the suspense and anticipation of how the eye would affect everyone still succeeded in making this a thriller. Bae was established to be long gone, but that still didn't prepare me for what Calli did in the end. The reveal along with the music and everyone nailing their voice acting roles really made this a banger!

Idk how many Orwell vibes I get here and how scary immense is the possibility of interpretation for the paranoid sensation of "being watched". Still you get one of my biggest nightmare Fauna dear, losing the capability of see and listen is something make me shiver in pain and thinking the way to remove eyeballs makes me want to puke. That's very well done part 2 of this holoween. All of you holoen have so much potential and so many skills, and I hope to be able to see all of you growing again and again, mastering all of that. You all deserve it.
