Bae's VA is OFF THE CHARTS! Holy Moly I can totally tell she was creeped out from being watched by an unknown entity. Also, I love the Fan Service 11/10. The four of them acted as if they do live with other, totally on point with the way the behave and their silly conversations. Calli had a great image of being Bae's big sister and it was performed greatly in Calli's interaction with Bae. The plot twist in the end was AMAZING, big ups to Fauna for writing this.

I see some people saying that the thing watching Bae is actually 'Us' and though that would be a cool twist, I wonder if what she's seeing could also just be in her head. The title is Ocellus, which means an eye-like marking (like the colored eyes on a peacock tail or eye markings on butterfly wings). If you look closely at every scene, there is something that fits that description. In the Breakfast scene, the 'eyes' are the blueberries at 2:15, in the bath scene it's the bubbles, emphasized in 2:18, in the dressing room Bae starts to freak out when she see's IRyS's twin buns, which look like eyes 3:42, and finally the stage scene where the big eye could be the stars, 4:00, (and maybe the moon?) looking like a big eye to Bae since she is looking up at the sky and not the audience. The last scene is tricky since we don't see the room clearly, but looking at the patterns in the previous scenes it wouldn't surprise me if it was something that looked like an eye on the ceiling and not a paranormal force or 'Us'. But that's just a theory!

As far as I've seen up until now it seems like a commentary of going from regular life to being an internet vtuber where normal life is stripped away and replaced with another life where their online personas are "on camera" 24/7, no matter if they're actually streaming or not. The fan base will never give up trying to find out every action, feeling, and or daily life these girls take. It is too late to go back. Just like coco, etc that graduate, the always watching eye of Fandom will never let them go. How many times has a vtuber holo or not had to go on break because the demand of the industry, including the fans, have become so obsessed with these vtubers that the girls themselves just can't handle it. No human can stand up to this amount of attention from Elvis to hololive. As much as we, because I feel it too, love all of their personalities and content. How many of us would give it all up for the good of the person behind the vtuber just walking away for these girls own benefit. Cali is the only one really concerned for Bae. She wonders if the open windows are a problem and later if the show should be cancelled; she is trying to help. So you've got an obsessive personality that is unable to help her obsession which would make her unstable. Then Bae falling unconscious is the push Cali needed to take extreme measures even though to us it's an irritational (and horrifying) "solution" to the problem.

While the first one took us back to juvenile internet conspiracies, this one felt actually chilling. Might be because it implies a more... unearthly evil, influencing the characters. An inner madness, a paranoia that keeps growing in Bae... but then actually manifests in Calli. A twist! But then, despite all that happened, the evil presence is STILL there at the end! An amazing performance, by all girls, but i'm especially impressed with Bae's ability to deliver a really chilling monologue!

Wait a minute, did Calli use IRyS' horns to take out *everyone's* eyes?! Kiara specifically referred to them as "weapons" while in the dressing room before the show. It only makes sense for this line to be used with the rule of Chekhov's Gun in mind. Such a brutal scene implied by such a small detail is so amazing and terrifying at the same time!

That was genuinely creepy! Amazing Fauna. Even though the title "Ocellus" gives away the idea of a watchful "eye", the suspense and anticipation of how the eye would affect everyone still succeeded in making this a thriller. Bae was established to be long gone, but that still didn't prepare me for what Calli did in the end. The reveal along with the music and everyone nailing their voice acting roles really made this a banger!
