"Well...I cant only have one. I can have as many as I can afford..." I get your point about that question 100%...but for some folks, 1 IS as many as they can afford. Really glad you answered that question. Even though you hate it and I understand why. People ask that because you have become an authority on this stuff. If I can afford 10 or 20 RDS...who cares if I buy the right one. If I can only afford one, it needs to be right. You are the guy I would ask "which one" if that was my situation. I can understand & appreciate what you are saying to an extent. But in all honesty for the overwhelming majority of people how many you can afford is merely an exercise in the ranking & placement of priorities. For those saying the "only have 1" remark they usually mean that they can only afford 1 right now without changing anything in their lives, how they are currently living, or making changes to their current spending habits. If you truly want something bad enough then you will find a way to be able to get it, for the most part. That is because you jump it higher on your priority list which might be at the cost of some priorities lower on the list. It's just that in general, most people don't like making any compromises or cut backs nor do they truly analyze their spending habits & how much gets pissed away in a year by nickel & diming on small shit that didn't matter which we've all been good at from time to time. It all adds up quick. Rank, prioritize & if need be, make concessions to the lower priorities

THIS (fully enclosed emitter) is the future of red dot pistol sights. Just ordered a 509T-RD for my RUGER 57 pistol. UPDATE: OK, my 509T is mounted and tested. Love the circle reticle at the 6 o'clock portions for 75 to 100 yard shots with that flat sooting 5.7 x 28 cartridge of the RUGER 57. -> I now have 3 magazines, 2 are in my double mag pouch from The Vest Guy. I also have a Ruger Kydex OWB holster that accommodates red dot sights. ZOMBIES BEWARE! (ActuallyI carry it on desert training hikes here in Nevada where engagement distances could be long.)

A lot of people say the things you doing reviews aren't necessary and real world. What if your pistol gets dropped while running bangs up against the environment in a fight or flight. It must be as predictable as an iron sight. Excellent I love your abs on your RMR sights.

I was glad to see you do this one. I replaced my Delta Point Pro with this and couldn't be happier. I like it better than my RMRs.

Would you explain your reasoning? I’m in the process of looking for a red dot for my G35 MOS and was leaning towards the DPP, but was concerned about the height for backup iron sights. It appears the Holosun is shorter - so you don’t need the Uber tall sights as compared to the DPP? Also, the DPP didn’t really survive the drop test and for a carry gun optic that is important to me. I thought about the RMR, but the battery location would end up pissing me off. So, all that to say, I would appreciate your input since you have the experience with all 3 of them. Lastly, why not the 508? What is the advantage beyond fogging of it being enclosed? - or is that the main benefit.

If trijicon comes out w an enclosed version of the rmr, the world's gonna sh!t.

Great review and thank you. Btw - are you right eye dominant? I too am a lefty but right eye dominant. From certain angles it looks as if the slide is in line more on your right eye. I’ve been fighting my dominant eye and squinting to use my left but recently tried to use my right eye. Sorry if off topic.

Eye dominance issue only exists on rifles, on a handgun you can simply place the sight in front of your dominant eye

K love my Gen 4 MOS, but I just learned that the MOS Slide isn’t same spec as regular slide. Therefore, The Roni’s charging handle won’t completely seed into serrations.

Well I’m convinced I didn’t expect him to beat that optic that hard on the slide manipulation

I’d really like you to test the new Sheild! It’s suppose to be much more rugged and able to handle more abuse than the old models. Thanks man! Keep up the great work! Watching from California

Better than the ACRO in every way. Have both and I wouldn’t get another ACRO, nor would I recommend anyone get an ACRO, period. Holosun has really stepped their game up of late, and they have some upper echelon products. Their 508T, and 509T can go toe to toe with any high end MRDS. They’re reliability and ruggedness has been proven, so at this point you’re getting just as much bang, if not more bang for your buck with the Holosun’s. The 509T is a real fuck you to Aimpoint. They basically said “here, we’ll fix all your issues, and add more features in a smaller package for less money”. In regards to the ACRO alone, the battery life is all you have to say. 509T will give you years, and the ACRO will give you months lol.

Nicely done..is 509 dot brighter than 507/8 due to being enclosed? Thanks

On the note of enclosed emitter red dot sights, I'd love to see your opinion on the Noblex MOS. If it passes your test, it might be my new red dot. Thanks.

Has Shield Sights actually shipped an MRSw? Are they still the only company making a waterproof MRS that is made for the Glock Gen 5 MOS with standard sights? Did they even show at Shot Show? Toss me a bone!!
