Holster molding

Here's how I mold an IWB holster. Making a test holster to see if I need to move the stitch line and I need to do that.
I use 7oz cased leather and simple tools..

They make metal molds for a variety of handguns and long guns. Instead of using a real firearms and then you can soak the leather with the mold in the holster and get an exact fit.

With all the detail you tooled into the holster, won't it be hard to draw the pistol?

Nope. But it take some brake in. If it feels tight the customer can put the gun in a plastic bag, holster it and let it be over the night. But now one has complained yet.

what spacing do you use when stitching your holsters?

Jon Monte. I stitch on a machine, but it's approximately 5/inch
