Ok so heres some info for you. On the centering if you sign up for a maintenance spot or send them an email they will take great care of you! You may be able to adjust the centering with the body screws but 98% chance youll need to send it in to get it perfect. The Holts are the nicest people ever and will make it perfect. Holt Bladeworks offers ceramic bearings that will fit your Haptic, Skiffs will not fit. (Skiffs will fit in Gen 1&2 Specters maybe Gen 3 but not Gen 4 or any Haptics) Steel bearings come standard in all of the refined models and Ceramic in the prestige models. Rumor has it Joe Holt felt the steel bearings are harder use then the ceramic ones. But if you prefer ceramic ones they are offered from the Holts directly which will fit perfectly. (They are under the maintenance parts tab on their website) Im super curious if the Gilliam bearings will fit ive never seen anyone try them before. Its a wonderful knife and centering should definitely be perfect, give the Holts the opportunity to make it right im sure you won’t be disappointed. PS Joe Holt invented the detent system and has a patent on it, it differs from the Hoback System. It is somewhat similar to the Nadeau detent nub but adjustable. It is kind of like a combo of the two. Keep up the great videos and content.

I threw the salt and pepper bearings in the Haptic yesterday. It’s great, it still drops like a guillotine and now I can also slow roll the pivot closed like a Shirogorov. Thanks for recommending them!👍

I just picked up my haptic the other day and it's my first holt but I do have some complaints. When it's shut there is a little bit of blade play but not much. And the ss bearings have a gritty feel to them even after cleaning so I'm gonna pick up some ceramic bearings from their site and see how those feel. Great video!

Hi Sean. Yea ive heard about the blade play when closed. Ill have to check mine but i don’t think i have that issue. After this video i did add the Gillian Salt n Pepper bearings and it chenged this knife so much for the better. But definitely check with Holt if you are concerned about voiding any warranty. Also Angey Holt told me to make sure never ti disassemble the clip side pivot screw. I believe that is when issues start arising, so if you bought yours secondary perhaps someone had done that. See the description of this video for more details.

I get it. I Just reassembled a knife and it’s “centered” but like a 1/3 a hair off. I had to step away too and just leave it be. But I have to confess, even if the knife is bad ass, it still bothers me. 😆 😢
