God created the world and humanity to be good and in relationship with each other. This system of goodness is challenged by humanity’s actions of sinfulness, anxiety, trauma, fear, and doubt that can cause separation. Everyone knows life involves transitions, expectations, challenges, and opportunities. Every day God grants us opportunities to live into God’s will and to make God known through our words, actions, stories, and witnessing.
During this Advent Season, we are called to remember the story of how God will use Holy Disruptions to reorient the world, but not as we expect it! Holy Disruption invites us to experience how God desires to be known through the gospel of Luke. The writer Luke reminds us of the oppressed, downtrodden, and marginalized people who scream for help, justice, and hope. We need each other and to hear each other and Luke offers us a courageous way through the birth of Jesus Christ! These Holy Disruptions are making room for our redeemer, sustainer, and Messiah!
Memory Verse: John 1:14 NRSV
And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son, full of grace and truth.
