Where exactly did you find the GPS in the lid? I want to put a strobe on top for night flying and I'm hoping to place it in the slight indent on to. I will place it there, at the front, as long as I'm not putting it directly on top of the GPS in order to avoid any interference.

I had an issue with the tilt on the camera. I found the white and green wire taped to the edge of the circuit board along with a few other wires. The white wire had been cut right at the edge of the board. Repaired it ,hot glued the wires up and away from the edge. . Happy to report the tilt is working.

Good job. Those things are temperamental but I still use mine as a tripod. For longer flights I use a different model.

How many screws need to be removed before you can separate it? I have the same drone and my camera stopped working. I want to check connections. So far, I have removed 4 frame screws and 4 arm screws. I can't get the cover off. Any tips? Thanks!

@technovol8267 there are 4 screws for the arms and 6 screws for the top cover. there are two tabs, one on each side that make it kinda hard to pop the covers apart, but after removing the 10 screws, you should be able to pull it apart. photos.app.goo.gl/WrHqR8Arc5QNAQpa9

@@Ludeks_Adventures Thanks so much! After seeing your pictures, I was able to open the drone. I didn't find any loose connections. For some reason I can connect to the drone's wi-fi, but I don't have an image from the camera.

@technovol8267 is there anything recorded on the SD card in the drone? Are the files empty or is there an image?

@@Ludeks_Adventures I don't use an SD card, but it wouldn't surprise me since I've had issues with this drone. The other thing is that it doesn't hover in place, even with 16 satellites. It just seems to randomly move around without me touching the controller.

@@technoV0L wait for it to initialize, don't launch before you can control the up/down on the camera, once the gimbal is initialized (Camera moves up and down) then launch. The gimbal initializes a few minutes after the satellites come up. Also make sure to calibrate your drone's compass (follow the procedure in the manual) and put an SD card in to check for video (that's what I would do)

Hello,Ludek Im Cristian from Romania ,can you help me with some advice I have 720G and camera/gimbal not working ,still i have video signal all controls working .I have opened the drone and one of wire that come from motherboard to gimbal was cut ,i managed to solded the wire but i have no luck .Maybe can you help me with some advice Also i'd like to know ,where you buy the arm ,they have for sale entire kit gimbal and camera as replacement parts? I speak ith holy stone customer support and they dont have at least in europe Also iask them if the replacement of kit gimbal/camera eed some firmware update and the ansewer was "its plug and play parts"So maybe there its some hope Wait for your answer.Gratitude .Cristian

I got the part off of eBay. But as far as the wires, those little wires are very difficult. Sometimes they brake on the inside but the insulator sleeve still holds it together. May need to use a ohm meter to check the wires individually.

I'll def buy a dgi or something better when this one has no more life. Not happy with the distance also and think the camera quality should be better if it says 4k

I only use mine as a close range tripod. That's about all it's good for.
