I think that is the point though, it's not just the composite digimon that make up Kimeramon but other digimon too like as Gatomon explained. Sephirothmon is collecting data from lots of strong digimon so it would make sense that it would try to draw from as many sources as it could.

@@tanjiaxin4043 I just think it's kinda weird how they used Zeed for the flashbacks as well. Isn't Zeed supposed to be the failed reincarnation that's almost mindless but more powerful? Why don't we have normal Mille in the flashbacks? Why show Zeed twice? If they reserved Zeed for the end as the final form, there would be more stakes, but instead he has already been defeated in the past using that final form, which feels... weird for a series final boss. I really hope they add a twist that makes sense.

MagnaAngemon never got enough screen time in 1&2 unlike the other Ultimates and very little in the Movie and reboot (tri). Its great to see him back since his last big battles were with BlackWarGreymon and Malomyotismon. Also cant help but notice the open mouthed reaction from ally and also Ultimate level Angel Angewomon when the eye ball comes crashing down. As a Angel and counterpart to MagnaAngemon she should know his capabilities and it should not have been a shock. She too is a ultimate Holy Angel with power from God. Wouldnt think she would be open mouthed surprised.

The battle and origin between Angemon and Devimon is fascinating, reminded me they even died together during OG, proves they are inseparable no matter what. Also in 02, Digimon Emperor finds piece of the Devimon in the Dark Whirlpool to complete Kimeramon, could be a connection.

Even though this was a very good episode, I was *slightly* disappointed that we didn't get a proper MagnaAngemon fight at the end (I was really waiting for him to use one of my all time favorite moves, *Gate of Destiny,* to pull-in all the fake Digimon inside the gate before slashing Sephirothmon's eyeball in half to free the Digi-destined). Though, on a separate note, I find it quite interesting that *Sephirothmon specifically collected data on Greymon, Garurumon, Kabuterimon, Angemon and Devimon* during the episode, which could be a *hint towards Kimeramon* since all this was done to ultimately create a "new body" for Millenniummon at the end of the day.

I like the idea with the wings wrapping around Angemon as a part of his evolution, but the rest of it feels and looks like they went cheap on it .... Also, I like the detail with the mark of evil on Devimons chest being replaced by the crest of hope! Very symbolic considering that Devimon is supposed to be the embodiment of Angemons fear/despair/weakness, which is now sealed by hope.

I don't think we'll see HolyAngemon's Priest Mode. Not only will HolyAngemon likely always be battling, but also Priest Mode seems to be an invention of V-Tamer, wherein HolyAngemon was only seen in Priest Mode--later revealed to be a form assumed to limit his power as Seraphimon. Anyway, it was a really neat touch for them to tie together HolyAngemon's visual design with the Angemon/Devimon story. I actually had to go check to see if that black arm was always there. Sephirothmon creating a body for Millenniumon probably means we'll be seeing his base form for sure. Millenniumon is a Jogress of Chimeramon and Mugendramon, I wonder if they'll manage to squeeze that in somehow. We've already seen a Mugendramon, too. Also, Nohemon seems to be a prominent character in the next episode. Not only is that another Armor Digimon, but it's a pretty obscure one too. It's *very* rarely used at all across the entire franchise. Really love how much this series commits to exploring lesser-known Digimon.

Sephirothmon is the missing piece in how milleniummon will be born. They intentionally put tai, matt, and izzy inside sephirothnon because their digimon are parts of kimeramon. They also put devimon inside who is also a huge part of kimeramon. There is also machinedramon inside greymons or devimons battle data. Sephirothmon with all these collected data is gonna fill in the missing pieces in creating milleniumon

The official story behind the religious references was that they were trying to avoid offending Christians, but when they got to Angemon and Devimon, they couldn't figure a proper replacement because that's what they were. Those two along with other variants (angewomon, MarineAngemon, Lady Devimon and MarineDevimon) got to keep their names. However, those with demon in their name, like Vamdemon, got the ax. The only one that got past the censor was Daemon and his name was eventually changed to Creepymon.

Actually. having data damage may be a hint towards Kimeramon. Kimeramon is an amalgamation of specific data combined into a single vessel. Perhaps in the desperation of it's arrival, the followers will use the damaged data so that Millenuimmon can fuse with it. However this only applies if it's Millenuimmon (kimeramon). At the moment it can't be normal Kimeramon since none of the digimon within Sephirothmon have seen skullgreymon. however Millenuimmon (kimeramon) has the body parts of, weregarurumon, metalgreymon, kabuterimon, devimon and machinedramon. this is just my thought but i do think we will see Priest form. if we got Blitzgreymon and .....*ahem*" Ponchomon: El Demonio de la Salsa". Then there is a big chance we can see Priest form (i'm assuming priest form is the form he takes once devimon leaves or accepts Holy Angemon's path. The repentance and being reborn into a new person kind of way)

Though it is kind of weird since there's also a Seraphimon more so based on the angel. Meanwhile, Sephirothmon's name is probably supposed to be a pun on a sphere. However, in practice, it sounds more like Sephiroth, than Seraphimon does despite being based on a seraph angel.

Very good episode overall, It's nice to see Toei once again utilising the ancient warrior digimon as enemies, this time we had Sakakkumon/Sephirothmon who I do recall gave the kids in Frontier a lot of trouble as one of Cherubimon's top lieutenants. Once again here it is utilising its abilities to full effect and it's great. It was finally nice to see some much needed backstory on the relation between Angemon and Devimon. Now we know how Devimon actually came to be, he wasn't an Angemon that was corrupted by Milleniummon but rather he IS Angemon's evil half. The way this duality and conflict plays out between the two forms as well is fantasticly portrayed with even dare I say it, some creepy moments too. Angemon slowly becoming NeoDevimon and then almost trying to attack TK was borderline nightmare fuel, it was really well done. I do like how though Angemon and TK overcome this because they have built up so much trust for one another which then ultimately triggered Angemon's evolution to MagnaAngemon. Whilst it didn't have the hype the OG Show had as he was the last Digimon to evolve originally and during the Piedmon fight, this was still really nice to see. The only major letdown was that MagnaAngemon's time was so brief, he literally cuts Sakakkumon's sphere into quarters and then that's it. At least this time, we now have a new enemy that DIDN'T die for once. Sakakkumon will be back again which pleases me. Finally, Angemon's "feud" with Devimon is clearly not done, this is going to be a plot point for later which is also very interesting to me. This is very unique in Digimon so I look forward to seeing what becomes of this later. As of now, this officially means that all of the Digidestined and their digimon have achieved their final forms from the OG show plus other evolutions for a few of them (i.e. Pegasusmon, BlitzGreymon and Ponchomon). Now all that is left are the rest of the megas. Good episode.

1. Sefirotmon/Sephirothmon...from FRONTIER...is back??? Oh em effin' gee...that is wild. (Odds are low, but PLEASE bring Lanamon or Calmarimon & Fairymon/Kazemon or Shuutumon/Zephyrmon back!!) 2. The Chou Shinkaa sequence for Angemon to Holyangemon...kinda sucked for him, it felt more like the old Armor Shinkaa sequences from 02. Possible payback for Pegasmon seeming more like a normal style evolution from 01? We may never know. 3. That's as close as they came to saying that Devimon WAS that particular Angemon, one and the same. But how strong is that guy if it took the likes of Wargreymon & Holyangemon to beat him those two times??? That almost implies that Devimon is an even stronger Adult/Champion level critter than even Tailmon/Gatomon!!

I think this episode kind of hinting that chimeramon will somehow appear later on this series as the body for milleniumon, before the other form of milleniumon appear. Because it gathers a lot of other digimons data and created it, like all that digimons that pulled inside sepirothmon, greymon, kabuterimon, garurumon, angemon and devimon are actually the parts of chimeramon.

This episode was really great to see HolyAngemon. But now the third major antagonist after DarkKnightMon is now Sephirothmon the beast spirit of steel. Also I knew Sephirothmon would be a key and mysterious villain on most of the series. Frontiers and Reboot. His dimensions and powers means everything he has. Now he’s gonna make the series going intense when he’s gonna resurrect millenniumon. Yet we might even witness Kimeramon returns and battles the Digidestined. The series is gonna reach to the endgame later!

It makes sense if you look at the data it was scanned and the digimon involved all make part of Kimeramon and eventually Milleniumon. For instance Greymon, Garurumon,Kabuterimon, Devimon, Kuwagamon,Angemon and in Agumon's memories it's dark digivolution to Machinedramon.

This reminds me of Persona 4 where all the characters have to accept a part of themselves they don’t really like, their “Shadow” and by doing so they awaken, but their shadow is always kind of exaggerated and corrupted, you should play it if you haven’t already, Persona 4 Golden is available on Steam and not really expensive

So I'mma go with us getting a 3 episode finale with a possible early episode of them destroying kimeramon but coming back as going through 3 form changes with battling the megas/omnimon then alter-s being final evolution.

Something you didn't touch on was Kimeramon and why those 4 kids may have been the 4 that went up. Kimeramon actually uses parts of each digimon partner that was beamed up so the data collected from them could be used in this show to explain Kimeramon. Angemons wings, Metalgreymons body, Kabuterimon's Helm and Garurumon's legs. Meanwhile Kimeramon doesn't use anything from any of the other 4 digimons bodies from any of their evolutions. And all the digimon that make up Kimeramon show up in this episode in the sphere except for Airdramon and Skullgreymon.

It makes sense it was them because remember what digimon chimeramon was made from they can be seen in this episode and millenniummon is the DNA digivolition of chimeramon and machendremon.

I mean it now had the data of the champions and ultimates of those 4 chosen kid’s digimon. Also, the mega never appeared and it was onlh half the team. So the other kids have a chance to shine at last.

Note that in the analysis for HolyAngemon after the credits it lists his attack as Heaven's Gate. Heaven's Gate is actually the original name for what was known as Gate of Destiny in the English Dub, which was also another religious censorship edit. Also one final note is that in the original dub the pronunciation of Angemon's name had an Ahhh sound at the beginning which removed the pronunciation of the Angel sound in his name. On a personal note I like how they introduced him sooner in this series as they introduced him a little too late in the original series which was near the finale. One note is that HolyAngemon is based off the Archangel, the next following rank after Angel.

Oh yeah true in English dub it was definitely like “Anne Jeh Mon” never noticed that!

@@thedigiknow It was only because I saw the Japanese version of the original anime that I became aware of this fact. Also another thing that comes to mind in the subbed version of Digimon Tri. and some of the episodes in the previous official subbed releases of the first two seasons though it could be confirmed from the audio, the English subtitles still used dub names such as MangaAngemon so one thing to be thankful for is that the subs here do not use the terms from the original English dub.

Actually, It seems devimon speeks Magnaangemons left arm. We see how Angemon absorbs Devimon with his left arm, and after that turns into magnaangemon. That was probably done to explain (in the context of this new series) why Magnaangemons arm is actually black, and not white like the rest of him. I honestly REALLY like this touch =)

The priest mode would be extremly pointless as this form is only used OUTSIDE OF BATTLE. The reason this was even in the manga was because that holy angemon was stuck as holy angemon. He wasn't ever shown going back to whatever pre digivolution it got.

It was a great episode but I just hated the little screen time we got from HolyAngemon
