Thank you for doing this! Been wanting a bigger quad for awhile but didn't want to go with a 10 year old flamewheel design. This looks like the ticket!

I have the v1 essentially the same frame etc and it flies really really well and can carry about 500gs of above its flying weight.

Excuse me, does the 500g payload not include the weight of the battery or does it include the battery?

What a great KIT, and very reasonable pricing. Some nice refinements to v2 KIT of this type. Is awesome, that all individual parts are available as spares ... should need to replace, or are considering a custom variation of build.

Hi Lee I just love it. Ever since Xclass drones came out, I have wanted one. But I couldn't afford to pay for one set of motors for one. So it's not a Xclass it's still a good 7in starter drone. I purchased a MATEK H743 wing and a mini, but never used them. I think INAV and ARDUPILOT now have targets for the H-series. Thanks for the video and information about the HOLYBRO kit.

Lee that is a really nice looking frame kit especially at that price. Really doesn't take that much more to get the base copter up and running.

Thank you very much for the information and review, just got one question here, do I need to do PID tuning before flying? and if we add additional payload, tuning might be necessary.
@Painless360 Жыл бұрын
You need to fly it to tune it. I'd test fly and tune BEFORE adding extra things.. Best of luck.

Hi. I bought a Holybro 6C Mini flight controller and a Holybro X500 V2 quadcopter frame. I am trying to set it up with Mission Planner but the motor test routine does not work and the radio calibration does not work. I cannot find a description of what kind of ESCs are mounted in this frame or what sort of firmware they require. I contacted Holybro tech support, but they apparently only understand Chinese. Can you help?

is the telemetry radio just used to communicate mavlink instances with a receiver on the ground? if so, you wouldn't need to buy the telemetry radios in a strictly BVLOS context (like a remote GCS)?
@Painless3602 жыл бұрын
No, you can use them for RC link to fly too... Happy flying
@ryanschwartz33402 жыл бұрын
@@Painless360 so if you’re only communicating with the flight controller via a rpi with a modem, you wouldn’t need the telemetry radios?
@Painless3602 жыл бұрын
There are loads of options. I don't fly with a GCS here as I use a regular radio but some professional pilots I know always have a GCS running.. ardupilot.org/copter/docs/common-gcs-only-operation.html

Thanks a tons, this video will be helpful for all beginners. Do you have a video , how to mount the PixHawk5X, GPS and Telemetry & , power. Also, Flashing Firmware on Pixhawk 5X ?
Thank you for making this video. Do you know how much power it consumes on average during hovering? 😊
