Good review of the newer Heritage. I have to disagree with your comments about the windshield possibly causing a wobble in side winds etc. I have a 2016 Heritage and just completed a 1200 + mile ride where I encountered heavy side winds and many passing 18 wheelers. I experienced no wobble and no "mooshiness." I traded my Ulta Limited for the Heritage and have found that, with the addition of fork wind deflectors, the wind protection is very close to that experienced with a batwing fairing. Also, I'm 82 years old and the lighter weight of the Heritage is a definite advantage.

That many miles on it, you probably need the check the handlebars for proper fall-away and adjust if too loose. Possibly why you’re feeling the wind a little more than normal

I own a 2018 Heritage since new.... there is no vibration issue at all... also no windshield wind wobble. I have been in 50mph winds and had no trouble with the bike. Don't understand the comment that it's mushy in handling... that is not at all the case!

Nice video! I have a 2020 Heritage V107. Its heavy on the chrome and the color is vivid black. I love it and love the fact that you can remove the windshield, saddlebags and rear seat and you have a totally different look. Add some whitewalls and you have a Deluxe.

I bought a 23 heritage, and I absolutely love it. I bought it brand new, so I’m having to adjust and add a few different features. You mentioned how quiet it is, and I couldn’t agree more. I don’t like the saddlebags, I think they look too cookie cutter, but that’s strictly preference. All in all, this has been one of the best bikes I’ve owned.

I have a 2021 Heritage 114. I've not noticed any mushyness. I love the monoshock ride. I agree with the windshield buffeting on the interstate when tractor trailers are around. I've ridden my husband's 2017 Streetglide and when I got back on my Heritage it felt so light and small. Lol😂

Love my 2022 Heritage traded my RG Special in for it and yes for sure size wise absolutely it’s a cruiser not a touring bike so major size ( weight ) difference however the ride is amazing! Love the monoshock, ride is sweet, I am thinking you may need to give it twist maybe make an adjustment for your weight!! On another note what a fun ride!!!

Spot on with your evaluation, I have a 2014 Heritage with wood 222 cam and complete S&S upgrade cam chest. I’ve ridden my bike from NJ to Colorado , also Canada, and Florida and Tennessee, not at one time but all leaving from NJ. I agree with the wobble, mostly from coming up on a tractor and trailer. Safe travels 🇺🇸👍

👍 very nice, informative review of the Heritage. I have over 17000 miles on my 2021 Heritage and I seem to like it more each time I ride it. I wouldn’t describe the ride as mushy, my term would be compliant. The suspension really does a nice job of smoothing out the bumps. You could increase the preload in the rear shock and increase your tire pressures for more of that hard tail feel. Try 42 psi in the front tire. There are also some aftermarket screens that are more aerodynamic.

I wonder if the mushy you described has to do with it being a soft tail? I’ve never ridden one, but I’ve heard they ride somewhat differently… just a thought. Super review! I’m toying with downsizing a bit from my Ultra to a Heritage, and this was very informative. As you said, it’s the standard “look” of a Harley!

I love my 2022 Heritage. It's better then the 2017 Street Glide that I traded in on it. I had that bike for 5 years and this one for about 4 months. I already have a lot of miles on this one, more then I had on the Street glide in the same time. I just got a back rest because I had one on my Street Glide and got spoiled. I also put the engine guards on it. It's suck a sweet ride.

I recently purchased a 2022 Reef Blue/Vivid Black Heritage end of September. Have liked the bike since I road tested an early 2018 model October 2017. Did not purchase one at that time cause I don’t care for spoked wheels on a street bike. Viewed a KZbin video August 2022 where MMJ’s friend purchased a 2022 Heritage with cast wheels. I checked Harley’s website and sure enough Harley at that time was offering the Heritage with either spoked OR cast wheels. SIGN ME UP! Plan to ride down to Myrtle Beach this May to visit my brother and attend the rally. Glad you liked the bike, I Sure Do.

I've got a '19 Heritage 114 with a Stage 1 upgrade. Sounds terrific but doesn't annoy the neighbors. I don't notice any mush or clunk, but I've had it so long maybe I'm used to it. The bike is over 700 lbs so I wouldn't call it light. But it handles nimbly, the weight isn't a drawback. We can say that about all the softails, probably. The windscreen on the 19 is too high. If it rains I can't see over the top of it. It looked like the screen on the 21 was shorter, as they all should be. I like my Heritage quite a lot. I don't need a touring model so if I did want a new bike, I'd go for the 120th anniversary model Heritage, with the brilliant red fade color scheme. But I don't want a new one this year! Maybe next year?

That's so funny you notice a wobble with that bike. I have a 22 heritage and i keep telling the dealer i have a bad front end wobble. I think there is something going on with these softtails, i really don't even feel comfortable taking my bike on long trips because the wobble is so bad

The Heritage, just like my Deluxe, comes stock with a suspension best described as "consummate boulevard cruiser!" As you know, Sandy, where we ride here in the Hudson Valley, that cushy suspension just does not cut it. Think NY 97 - Crows Nest, or 44/55 or 106 through Harriman Park. Consider 28 through the Catskills or 8 and 32 through the Adirondacks. Stop light to stop light while bar-hopping and blipping the throttle at every car full of teens is fine, but trail braking through the twisties and your front end will be constantly nose-diving and bottoming. I switched out the front forks for the Legend's and my rear mono-shock is the Progressive 465 heavy duty RAP (remote adjustable preload). That and the Stage II make the bike a super tourer and canyon carver!

Interesting video - I rode exactly the same bike this summer 1,000 miles from Vegas to Grand Canyon and have similar thoughts. Full disclosure, this was the first HD I had ever ridden, and come from a history of small dirt bikes (Bultacos / Hondas) and British Classics (Royal Enfield, Velocette and Triumph). I had not ridden on the road for several years, so my experience may not be typical. First impressions are fantastic. The look, sound and engine are all great and tick all the boxes. A few issues though. In 1,000 miles, I think I found neutral once. I resorted to holding the clutch with my right hand and fiddling with gear lever by hand. No amount of boot would find it. And that clutch - you guys must have arms like Popeye - why no hydraulic? a big issue, was the side stand, which gave me palpations every time I walked away from the bike. If it fell, it would be expensive, i'd never lift it and if I broke a clutch lever, possibly the end of the trip. You mentioned the wind, which I would agree with. The biggest issue for me was that the bike never made me feel comfortable or confident in it. The tyres seemed to track every tramline in the road, and getting it up to 70 seemed like I was staring the devil in the face. With crosswinds and the size of the fairing (barn door) I held on for dear life and apologies to any bikers that went past and waved, as I didnt always feel confident to let go of the bars and wave back. Downhill camber turns never felt confidence inspiring in the way that perhaps a Honda Transalp or Yamaha Tenere would. I am also so glad I didnt bring a pillion. Its super small, and with the crosswind I would not have felt confident at all. The panniers are ok for a night stop, but one is much smaller than the other and just about adequate. I have never ridden a bike that I both longed to get on (it was gorgeous), but also after a days riding, longed to get off. Would I buy one - definitely not. Would I like to ride one again, yes, but probably as a Town centre / beach cruise rather than any serious travelling. Loved my trip to Nevada , Arizona and Utah. The Harley was a special bike to ride and I fell in love with America. I'll be back - maybe next time on a Honda !

First time on a Harley- it needs some getting used to . It’s a raw bike , not refined! That’s also part of its charm and vibe. As for confidence inspiring- yes it does feel loose and not a tight bike ! Too “ mooshy “ suspension and tires….

I owned a 1994 Heritage and my wife and I put 65,000 miles on it. We bought a 2010 Heritage and put 22,000 miles on it before trading for a 2021 Tri Glide Ultra that we have just over 8,000 miles on. I love the Heritage but at 70 years old I was having a little problem with two up and loaded down with travel gear that makes a two wheel top heavy. We are loving the Trike and have spent over $5000 on upgrades. I have a friend that rides an Ultra Classic and with his wife on the back is starting to have some issues when traveling and a top heavy bike. I doubt he will ever own a trike. Just hope he can keep it up in sand, gravel and stuff like that. It seems that HD is selling more and more touring bikes and trikes. Just me talking but It would not surprise me to see them discontinue the Heritage in near future. It seems people are wanting the GPS and radio stuff and farings. Just my opinion.
