That’s pretty cool to teach your friend’s son about engines!

Man you build about the meanest 395s I’ve ever seen!
@DaveyBlue32 Жыл бұрын
Hey Cajun, really appreciate the link from your video and your recommendation to come and see a damn strong 395 that SCarr’s built! That’s a 28” Rollomatic and it’s an 8pin…? Dang it man! She’s rippin’ chip!!! Really appreciate that duration information because I have found an extra cylinder and I’ve got to do some work on mine eventually! Great Video!

Hi Shaun, curious where these ported 395's tune to.....i know reading the plug is a safe tell but in general are you tuning to between 13 500 and 13800 on these one good and hot?

Im in need of a 70-90cc saw to buck a big maple trunk for firewood and been looking for a Holtsfforma 90cc stihl or husky clone and now im here xD im not sure if I wanna risk having to fix the damn thing more than I use it but oem husky and stihl that big are expensive :O

Pretty much was my thoughts on the 288 farmertec cylinder. Without machine work and no gasket the FT288 cylinder intake was 154 duration. They definitely don’t need a bunch of machine work to make decent runners. Great video Shaun! Is important for people getting into this hobby to start realizing that porting all cylinders or saws isn’t exactly the same. It’s about optimizing what you have to work with and everyone has their own way of doing this. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😁

Is a 661 piston a little taller from the pin so you could cut the squish and do that piston swap??? Those Duke’s little moly pistons are remarkably good quality for the $27 or under $30 bucks apiece for whatever model saw’s your doing…I’ve been using a couple of those in different build’s and have been super stoked with their performance! You must have some freaking awesome compression with the 50 thou cut from the band! Dang near 190? That’s a fantastic build on the clone and it’s a ripper… but that OEM saw’s just straight singing and blasting chips!!! Your selling a handpiece that will run on the Foredom’s???
@srcarr52 Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't bother with a 661 piston as they have the ring pins in a terrible location. I've been really happy with the Duke's pistons. Compression on these is around 215psi. Check out my other videos for stroked 394/5's that really throw the chips! Yes, the handpieces will work on a Foredom or any other key drive flex shaft motors.

Was your G395XP an early one? Supposedly they fixed the piston issue. Nice work on both saws. They run head to head.
@srcarr522 жыл бұрын
Yes it was an early one. I've heard they've fixed it but I haven't seen a newer one to validate that.

Nice runner! I'm waiting on the orange ones to be back in stock. U ported the stock cylinder?
@srcarr522 жыл бұрын
Yes, I ported the cylinder that came on it.
