Funny enough, I'm flying to Florida a week from today to visit my Mom's Colombian side of the family in Florida for Christmas as me and my parents do every year or recently since Covid; every other year. Just like Kevin, I'm from the NW side of Chicago, so yeah, even the same Airport; O'Hare :D Growing up, had most of my Christmas' with my Dad's Irish side as they all live in Illinois, but my oldest paternal Aunt is dead, and my other Aunt is divorced and in a nursing home, so my Dad (oldest of the three) is the only one still with an active family life with us. "I know that a certain someone shows up at some point" **While showing the World Trade Center** It's ok, Rob O'Neill took care of That Guy back in Pakistan :D . . . Oh, That Guy isn't in this movie? lol, my mistake . . . Can't you believe it, Mr. Hallway Lobby Man, I thought she was talking about That Guy who Rob O'Neill took care :3 Speaking of which, so everyone knows, there is no "Willis Tower" here in Chicago. There's only the Sears Tower :D "Don't play with kerosene, boys and girls", but I like to play with kerosene, I have it in my toy box next to my gasoline :3 Don't worry, I'm not gonna set the neighbor's dog on fire . . . I love dogs, I'm gonna blow up the neighbor's cat X3 "The traps do them in, but the birds do." Hey, the Japanese trained pigeons to go on Kamikaze missions, yes, that's totally true. And now pigeons rule Downtown Chicago X3

This movie is actually more of a remake of the first movie instead of a sequel to it. Screenwriter John Hughes even admitted that himself. Just look at the similarities between them: 1. Buzz antagonizing Kevin causing Kevin to retaliate, which causes a mess. 2. Kevin getting blamed and sent to the bedroom in the attic. 3. The family sleeping in and almost missing their plane. 4. "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" showing up somewhere in the movie 5. Kevin eating a cheese pizza. 6. Kevin repeatedly running into a scary stranger that ends up actually being nice. (Marley in the first movie; the pigeon lady in this movie) 7. Kevin's mother yelling Kevin's name when she realizes he's not with them. 8. People thinking a character in a 1940's gangster movie is actually talking to them. 9. The "scary stranger" saving Kevin from Harry and Marv. 10. The movie ends when someone off camera yells at Kevin. (Buzz yelling at Kevin for destroying his room in the first movie; Peter yelling at Kevin for spending $967 on room service. And I didn't even mention Harry and Marv nearly getting killed by Kevin.

Yeah, that's a good point. But the first one was so good and this one was just kinda blah. I mean, it's OK, but you can really see how easy it is to take good stuff and make it into a good movie vs. into a not-great movie.

About 4:35 , from South America here and our Christmas is very summer like, we basically have drinks and parties till around 7 am, I think it depends on what you're used to cause I can't imagine a cold snowy christmas and being in bed early haha

As much as we love Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, it would’ve made more sense for Kevin to go up against some other criminals in New York for the sequel. There were way too many plot conventions to get Harry and Marv to breakout of Chicago prison and end up in New York the same time as Kevin AND run into him as well

This is basically home alone in nyc but with more sadistic traps. Its still good but thats why it got blasted by critics and fans. Plus just the idea of a kid getting separated from his family two years in a row. And it wasnt a random townhome. It was his uncles townhouse. But ya why not call the cops? Of course they probably wouldnt have believed him as they get all kinds of pranks in nyc, and im sure double on the holidays. tim curry was amazing and i agree he should be in every movie! But of course he can only do voice work now since his stroke. Did you see him in "Clue"? My 2nd favorite movie. First, "Nightmare Before Christmas " who by the way voiced Sally in that movie by Catherine O'Hara, the mom here. Another piece of Hollywood trivia. Whos Macauley Culkin with in real life today? Brenda Song, aka London, the spoiled rich girl from Disney's "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody," and "The Suite Life on Deck." They share two boys together.

While I enjoyed these movies, there is one aspect that always ticked me off. Kate and Peter allowed his brother Frank to stay there, but never stood up to him and defended Kevin from him. I'm sorry but brother or not, you will not disrespect my child, in my house.

Oh fyi, yes a kid kevins age can get on a plane by himself. My friends ex lives in a different state and to visit his dad their son could fly by himself. Theres actually no set regulations by the department of transportation, its left up to each airline to make their own policy. Most its 12 and younger needs to be accompanied by at least a 12 year old. Ya, 12. Not an adult. On some airlines they can be 10 to travel alone. Not sure how old kevin is here but he talks like an adult so many airlines would allow it. Historically the rules with this were even looser. 13 years ago when we did our research, some airlines would allow an 8 year old on alone! But wait, theres more. They can also travel with a non custodial parent, so the only way you could prevent a parental kidnapping is be at the airport when youre child is being taken and show police and airport security your parenting plan if it limits the noncustodial parent's visitation. Otherwise they require nothing but their birth certificate which as a blood parent is not hard to get. In mexico, they require a letter by the custodial parent granting permission for the child to fly with non custodial parent and they would call to confirm in case of forgery. And this AFTER 9/11!

Me I love all 6 Home Alone movies I know you and others do agree that the first one is the best and I do as well but as you said this one has merit and 3 is with another kid 4 we are back to Kevin but with other actors playing the rolls because Macaulay Culkin was to old I have Movies 1-4 on DVD and hope to get 5 + 6 some day in the meantime I can see all on Desney+

Hey. Loved your reaction and honesty however I don't agree I think 2 was slightly better than the first don't get me wrong I still love the first movie it will always stand out as number 1 for me but I think the second movie has improved alot more and one the reasons is i love how far it went with the cartoon humour with the traps which is one of my favourite scenes out of the whole movie though i like sone of the other bits as well I don't think this movie would have worked without it's cartoon humour Harry and Marv were always one of my favourite villains just because they were just fun to watch getting tortured not in a savage way but in a comedic way the first two Home Alone films were the stand outs of the entire franchise Home Alone 3 was ok, 4, 5 and 6 were 'meh'. But the first two are the ones I always look back on.
