Saejima was NOT with the detective the whole time. Saejima was with him most of the time, but when that scene with Saejima started, the detective was away from him. That's the point of the conversation, Saejima saying that he took a while returning, and the detective saying that he had some trouble at work so he got held up, and that the detective was surprised that Saejima actually waited for him instead of running.

Shinada didn't home run a fast ball at the end of his story. He home-runned a curve ball. The whole point was Shinada was like "I kept fouling off your curve balls, I couldn't handle those, so I trained until I COULD handle them", and he wanted to prove that he could get a home run on the curve ball now. The same thing he did with the fast ball. He struck out on the fast ball, and then kept training until he knew he could do it

55:20 - To clarify, Baba didn't say that the Omi wants to recruit Kiryu and Saejima, since he already said that Mastermind wanted to lure them to Tokyo to kill them. Baba was saying that the plan was to make regular Tojo Clan soldiers surrender and join Omi Alliance forces, thus avoiding all out war which could result in losing many people on both sides. Mastermind wants to accomplish that by killing their two biggest legends and powerhouses, Kiryu and Saejima (in a way that would leave no shred of doubt to anyone that they are truly dead), who everyone in Tojo would count on to save the day after their leaders, Daigo and Majima, are dead/missing, by doing so completely breaking Tojo Clan's soldiers fighting spirit and allowing Omi to swoop in and take over without losing too many potential recruits.

Now that Aizawa is actually alive, I should point out that Aizawa is voiced by Hiroki Masumoto, who is the voice of Chad in Bleach. It’s fitting as both are big guys with strong arms. Since Baba is also back, a fun fact people haven’t mentioned is that Baba’s actor, Shunsuke Daito (whom Baba’s face/likeness is modeled after), is actually Dick Gumshoe in the 2012 live-action _Ace Attorney_ movie. Seriously, look up images of the movie, and it’s literally Baba dressed as Gumshoe. Of course, that movie also stars Hiroki Narimiya (Tanimura’s original actor) as Phoenix Wright. Enjoy the Florist of Sai while you can because he never appears in the series again after this game. As for why, most people’s guess is that he was too powerful for the plot since he’s essentially a deus ex machina with his numerous cameras. *Observations in Episode* Nico, the family is the Nagoya Family, not the Nagoshi Family. Nagoya is an actual city in Japan. Toshihiro Nagoshi is the former director of RGG Studio and creator of the series. In addition, you said Shinada in the last episode fouled off curves to finally get that fastball from Sawada, but it’s literally the opposite. Shinada kept fouling off Sawada’s fastballs until you hit the QTE on his curveball. Shinada wanted to prove he could hit Sawada’s curveball because that was the pitch that gave him trouble in 1997. At the time, he homered off the fastball after fouling off Sawada’s curves, but Shinada felt Sawada let him off easy by giving him an easier pitch to hit.

He's not wrong btw. The Florist is gone after this scene and is NEVER MENTIONED EVER AGAIN. I think it's mainly that RGG, as they got better with writing, didn't wanna rely on a "Deus Ex Machina" information broker that can guide main characters to their destination (when they can figure out creative ways to reach that destination themselves).

I don’t know if anyone mentioned it in the comments, but you actually still haven’t finished Akiyama’s section with Tatsuya because he told him it would be out of town
@FlareSouL
@FlareSouL Ай бұрын
*General Note:* This comment will be about all the other notable stuff relating to the Finale Part as I wanted to get the major Finale exclusive stuff out the way. *You can see that the Finale is huge too lmao. It isn’t as big as a normal character Part, but it still has quite a bit of content in its name.* So there are 3 _secret_ side quests which the game never tells you about unless you somehow ran into them by sheer luck so I’m gonna mention each one but note that I only find one of them worth it. Let’s start with that one. *One,* the final hostess. The 5th hostess you haven’t gotten yet is a particularly strange case. Basically, you can only do this on the *_final chapter of the Finale,_* meaning you can’t do it until then. *All you need to know is that you have to have Akiyama visit Club Elise, his own club in Kamurocho, and get all other 4 hostesses completely done with the male protags.* This will trigger events necessary to then have Akiyama return to Club Elise to unlock the final hostess. Quite a journey for this huh? *Fun Fact:* The next two are *trivial stuff* which are _NOT_ worthwhile for you to do but are sorta interesting on a discovery level. *You don’t have to do them and personally I don’t feel like it's worth it for you to see them but you can if you want.* *Two,* on the west side of the Underground Mall in Kamurocho, there is a stall owner talking to some people. Basically, the guy will ask you to get items across all cities. *The rewards are honestly negligible, it isn’t worth the time it takes to do it all when there are faster ways to earn the same rewards.* *Three,* so the chohan lady in the Dragon palace, where Komaki Dojo is nearby, has a hidden quest line with Kiryu. It’s kinda weird, I personally did it to completion for whatever reason. Basically, you have to win multiple times in chohan, following the suggestions by the chohan lady. (Save scumming do be useful here) The lady eventually asks you out on a date and then you have to play baccarat to then try to sheer luck without any cheat items or save scumming to help as it's directly _after_ the hardest chohan challenge. I failed it obviously since I didn’t want to reload my save after all that, but it's kinda interesting Yakuza 5 has these unmarked side content things you could randomly occur to the player which not many would ever see even to those who have done all substories/Side stories. *Again, the only worthwhile thing for you to do is the final hostess.* The other 2 are just me sharing my bizarre experiences in the finale of Yakuza 5.

Nico I'm really not surprised at this point but it's not Nagoshi Family it's freaking NAGOYA FAMILY Coincidentally Nagoshi is actually the name of the original creator and director of Yakuza. He left RGG a few years ago. And make sure to check out the batting cages cause they have some "unique" rewards And for Tatsuya you actually need to unlock the last dish somewhere in Kamurocho as Akiyama and then you can finish the substory

There's something I like about the way the finale of this game is set up that I didn't like in Yakuza 4. Like you said before Kiryu's story for 4 was basically them all meeting up, where the other three characters had their own stories Kiryu didn't really have one besides it being a set up for them all to come together. While in this game each of the characters had their own story where they learn somethings and then must make their way back to Kamurocho. And as we see here the Finale is set up like how it was with all the other characters where it has it's own chapters to give us more story and to see them all come together eventually. Just one of the many things I think Yakuza 5 pulled off really well.

You said that the story is very engaging. I agree with you. I am entertained by seeing this story over again and seeing you experience it for your first time. I also thought the fights you did was interesting against both Komaki's in a handicap match, Baba-san, and your first time fighting that bald guy with the red. I did not even know you could go to the millennium tower and level up more(I did not look it up). Also, I don't remember a lot... but, I think if you want to finish the coliseum fights, you have to run into that bald guy with the red top again, in Kamurocho before finishing the coliseum. I could be wrong as I don't remember a ton. I am also glad you enjoyed Shinada's story even more so than the others, because I was afraid that you would think it was the weakest of the storylines so far, in Yakuza 5.

"When did that happen?" Nico, stuff happens between chapters and even between games. But at the same time, knowing that Morinaga is dead just leaves the questions of who killed him and why. Of course, it's most likely Katsuya who either killed him or had someone carry out a hit. After all, Katsuya is in Kamurocho and can freely go anywhere he wants due to being a public figure. So it's not that unlikely.

In the Fujita death scene they do a good job of obscuring the identity of the killer. The face is kept hidden, no names are said, and the killer never speaks. The killer wears basic clothes and generic black gloves who no clear marking features. They purposely keep the killer out of focus so even things like the hair color of the killer on screen are hard to make out(though that might just be the older graphics).

It's probably worth saying that this game is the last appearance the Florist of Sai makes in the entire series so far. This isn't really a spoiler since his absence in future games is never remarked on, even when events in the plot would seemingly be related to him or his lack of presence, he's just gone going forward. It's likely that the writers decided that as a character he kind of served as a bit of a crutch who was introduced as an easy way for the characters to get information when they needed it, but after the second game they never really did anything with him as a character during the story and having him just be there as a plot device got a bit repetitive. Still, they never officially write him off, maybe they felt that doing so or killing the character after he's made so many appearances would be a bit cheap, especially if they did want to bring him back at some point.

IMO, Shinada's story, while yes, it is the best one in this game, felt like it's the most disconnected still. His chapter felt like it had a closure, as if this was a bonus story in the middle of the game. I imagine he was like a "secret heir" for the Omi Alliance and the allegations happened they needed him in the throne... or something. But no, which makes me curious on how this final chapter goes.
