Lucky for me, I am blessed to have one all to my self (only child). He is an unlimited wealth of mechanical knowledge combined with the wizardry of chassis tuning and fabrication skill. He has high priced lawyer skills with rule books, we never failed tech, or a protest for that matter. We once passes a cc on barometric pressure... Got a set of sticker tires with the protest money! We consistently made weight by less than we were ever comfortable with and podiumed more times than not in the features. I owe every one of my trophies to him. Cheers to great racing Dads everywhere. You make the sport.

Apollo with all that work assuming you don’t have a dad with a shop full of racing spares, welders, lifts and shit like he does. I’d say anywhere from $10k to $20k.... Custom manifold for that evoX rebuild probably cost $5k to $7k alone. Not to mention all the time it will take to mock and measure all that shit to fit. Wheels and slicks probably $2k easy, built block another $2k - $5k for parts and machine shop time.. Suspension, coolers, ect ect.

@ShadowSlayer7604 жыл бұрын
Watched this video the day it came out. I've since bought an NA6 miata myself and knew it was gonna be a piece of work. Was 2 months of blood sweat and tears just to get it to pass CA emissions, which shouldn't have been that hard bc its an 89 obd1 miata. It only has a cat and charcoal canister. However, it was tough af, there was a lot wrong lol. It idled like a 2 stroke dirt bike when I got it and had the biggest brain jb weld job holding the coolant system together 😂and was straight piped (pls take my advise and only buy california cars fam. even if your not from here haha). I was back and forth in my head for months trying to figure out if I should even keep it. At this point we've come a long way and I have learned a ton about cars. I actually understand when yall talk about engines and gearing and all that now. Now, a year later, Im looking at this video and am thinking "damn I didn't get such a bad deal after all". Im actually better off in a lot of ways (on the car itself, I wish I had the connections this kid has). Im inspired now, between this and ya boy lil clutch kick, I'm 100% gonna have myself a bitchin ass roadster. I wanna track it, hoon it, break it, rebuild it, etc. Def will be bringing her to the next burnyard bash and hopefully driving there (was gonna go this year but the car took a shit on me haha. Hence why you shouldn't get a project car instead of a daily lol) So, I plan on suping up the suspension and drivetrain first then imma find a VVT 1.8 to build and swap in since that's gonna be the easiest thing for my experience level (first engine build) and very little access to welding. I'm Super Stoked!!!!
