That was actually my mother's house starting at 3:36 before she passed. My cousin owns the house now and is renting it out. I thought maybe it was your daughter. So happy she is okay.

She's a friend of mine and it's heartbreaking. It's devastating here but we are working together. We always do. Most of the traffic were people helping, either by labor or donations and that's beautiful. But I can't explain how surreal it all is. The house they showed that sits in front of hers is my family. It was terrifying but we're alive. #NewnanStrong

Oh man, my heart is just breaking for her! Thank God I haven't heard about any fatalities yet, and hope there aren't any here. I was watching the radar on a KZbin channel called "Ryan Hall, Y'all" and he was streaming Live for 11 hours yesterday. We all watched as this tornado formed on the radar and we were trying so hard to warn people. We were sharing the radar on our facebooks (there were 9k people watching Ryan's Live stream at the time) and hoping people would have time to get to safety. But this is why people need to turn ON their alerts on their phones... when the NWS declares a Tornado Warning (and this one was actually a Tornado Emergency - meaning a CONFIRMED tornado was moving toward a populated area), it makes that horrible LOUD "Amber Alert" sound on your phone. Folks need to turn that on, especially in Dixie Alley and Tornado Alley in the Spring.

Even better, an actual weather radio. The phone notifications can be really unreliable (mine has never worked) but my weather radio has never failed me. Regardless, really disappointing to hear the outdoor sirens didn't function properly.

Not really, mainly because it's impossible to see a tornado at night and the only way to confirm if a tornado is on the ground is by radar.
