I can't wait to try this. Here in the south we call this chicken pot pie. Our dumplings are strips of dough dropped in the hot stew. I love both. They were staples in our homes. I have wanted chicken pot pie so much. Now I can fix it.

Aussie here... This looks like a good recipe to have handy so you don't get FOMO on pie day... chicken dumpling stew was a GOTO for me when I was broke, I'm so excited to see that I can try it low carb. Just out of curiosity... Did you guys eat carboloaded dumpling stew with cheese or is that because of the nut flour? Ours were just cooked on the stovetop but I like the idea of baking in the oven for a crispy top. I ketofied a similar style of recipe called ki-si-min (also a family favourite) it's a mild carried mince with a scone dough topping (I used a bread recipe from ketofocus... it had cream, sour cream and protein pdr as well) but this dumpling topping looks like a good sub too.

I used your dumpling mix to make pot pie topping for some meat pies. It was really good. I had some extra dough so I made it into Yorkshire puddings. That's another hack right there guys... Also, I was out of cheddar this week and found that mozzarella works well too.

I made this for dinner. It was pretty good. The biscuits weren't flaky. They were grainy like almond flour. I didn't think i would like the cheese in them but it was good. I would make this again.

I used to make a high carb chicken and dumpling that my hubby loved, he has missed it. I think I'll make him some if this soon. I don't have an oven but if I cover it with the lid it should work ok, hopefully. I will let you know how it goes. Maybe I can make the biscuits then put them in the chicken sauce for a while.
