Will have to try the turnips. Neat idea. For the Keto police people you could use green beans instead of the peas and carrots. Personally for myself I am just doing low carb so I eat peas and carrots occasionally anyways. Good job Sarah!

I found a one gallon zip bag works like magic … simply put in bag, roll, cut bag open at zip edges, then peel away from dough, flip, no mess no fuss. It’s fantastic. So is this recipe!! Thank you!!

I use a small amount of peas and carrots in my fried cauliflower rice. It's a small amount but it makes a world of difference in the flavor.

I live in Hawaii, so I don't know if frozen shelled edamame is available on the mainland but I began using a handful of these as a frozen pea replacement in stews & the like a couple of years ago. They work just fine, they are soy beans & low carb. Give them a try if you can find them. I can not find turnips or rutabaga here so a great potato replacemnt is also radishes. Once they are cooked the spicy bite is gone. The red ones are great roasted tossed with olive oil & garlic. If you can find large white daikon radishes they are great cubed up & simmered in a stew.

Just a note to send my appreciation for you two and your recipes...I turn to your casseroles with frequency! Every Saturday I put together a casserole dish or a meatball dish, then bake it and place in the fridge. Sunday morning we put it in the oven and do a delay start so when we get home after church with some family we are able to have a great meal together. My youngest grandson likes to do a great big "thumbs up" for almost everything I have prepared, and I must tell you he is PICKY. My main issue is my lack of experience, as I never know how to guess at how much time each casserole or dish must be in the oven to warm up and perhaps finish cooking. Such a learning curve!

looks delish! I've used turnip to replace potatoes in potato salad and it's great! I was "just" thinking of chicken/turkey pot pie and turkey a la king - so this is perfect timing! Thank you! CJ's hilarious - "I do see an illegal pea"! Too bad that crust is so hard to get off the silicone - which I'm sure is a "lot" easier getting it off of there than anything else - but, wow - wonder if there's a trick to make it easier?
