Yes it came out awesome.. so much better than I expected. I think it helped because I used a dark color over a solid dark color. The texture pretty much stayed the same too. I read on some blogs that if you paint over softer material and sand in between coats that it gets like a leathery texture... Which can be kind of cool. That one dollar ram is worth 25 to 30 bucks. Great score!!!!! If you dont stain your wood. File off the bottom,oil the wood. Most times if you sand lightly with small grit paper. Color comes right back from oiling. I sanded my wood bowl. Oil is all I use on it about twice a year. Stays dark like stain. Differ kinds of oils bring out some what a differ shade. I use stain but oil is easier. Lol

Corn oil on aged pine or light wood, beautiful color. Coco brown like teak wood color. My bowl is old,old!

Yes I was very surprised at the result to. And so far nothing has came off on any clothes. I watched tons of videos and did research and most softer Fabrics get like a leathery texture after it's painted. I think it also helped because I was painting a dark color over a dark solid. Hannica Rosine that sounds like a great idea. That thrift store you found the stool had nice furniture. Our thrift store furniture really is horrible. Like I've told you I have only found like 6 items this year that I considered a score. That table at your thrift store (dining) that was right next to the lamp you purchased is what I want so I can paint it and distress it a bit. It has that big chunky stand I want. I have a Scandinavian one that sits 8 people. I don't need that too much for just us girls. YOUR SO WELCOME I love your channel girl ! 🙋🏻🌺

I have had some success getting sharpie ink off wood. Try rubbing alcohol and if that won’t remove it, you can try Goo-Gone. Good luck!

Leave the bowl with the handle the way the artist made it...it is BEAUTIFUL AS IS.....just gently sand off the price...It looks very valuable, exotic, interesting, rich and artistic just the way it is...I literally gasped when I saw it. It is a gorgeous piece of craftsmanship...please do not alter the original work.

I just Googled your glass goat candleholder...... I found it listed at a company in the UK, Art & Utility, that seems to sell vintage items. Your item is called Bertil Vallien Goat Chambersticks (they come in a pair), and the price is $156 for a pair!!! Here is their description: "A pair of goat candle holders designed by Bertil Vallien for Boda Glassworks, Sweden, circa 1975. The main body of the glass goats are formed in a mould, whilst the horns are applied by hand." SCORE!!!

i would paint the finial & the screw on part black. i couldnt stand to have that left unfinished. im slightly fussy about things like that. FYI your boda is a yule goat. thats one of their christmas symbols. i have several of their glass ornaments i keep on a mirrored tray. they were made in the 1970s. you can buy this yule goat in resale shops for about $10-20 US dollars. some boda pieces are worth several hundred dollars.

Toothpaste with a little elbow grease will sometimes get permanent marker out of wood. Worth a shot of you want to get the price of the bottom of that wooden dish you bought.

i hope it works. Sometimes it doesn't but it's not damaging to the wood and it's worth a try. I had about 80% of sharper parker come out of wooden closet doors that my toddler at the time had drawn. It cam off enough for it not to bother me. You can also try a little alcohol on a cloth or swab, but I don't know how that would effect the wood or the finish. Toothpaste was a little more mild.

Everyone is suggesting "elbow grease and chemicals ". What about just using a Black Marker? "Color" in the entire strip of wood where the price is, then lightly sand the strip to "age " it. Problem fixed. By the way... I love finding the "Treasure" at the Thrift Store 😄!

Thanks so much for watching. So far nothing has came off on my clothes or anything. Yes I've seen great results done on velvet chairs and antique chairs. The fabric will take on more of a leathery texture on softer upholstery. And needs to be sanded in between coats. There are tons of KZbin videos on how to do this technique. Some people buy fabric upholstery paint and I've seen it done with chalk paint as well. With a coat of wax on top. It works well with solid fabric versus anything with a pattern on it.

I got it at Aldi, but they probably don't have them in stores because they only keep things until they so out and then it might be a while before they get it in stock again if they even do. You could probably find something similar on Amazon. Thanks so much for watching.
