Home Depot's (2nd) Largest Tool Chest! 84" Husky Heavy Duty mobile workbench- first impressions

I recently upgraded from my 46 inch Craftsman tool chest to this new Husky 84 inch tool box. Its one of the biggest (heavy Duty ) boxes they carry at Home Depot, I think there's possibly an 8 foot bench you can special order.
One of the better packaged items I've had home depot ship. I would purchase again.

Nice box I have the 72” version I wish they made the main draw in the middle the top instead of those skinny draws on the top. I hope they come out with that configuration better. Especially since that draw would be used mainly for sockets at least in the 72” configuration they have it setup as.

I agree, same on the sides too. big tapes don't even fit in the top one and I usually keep one there

Check out the husky 72” pro tool box. The pro is the only way to go

For the money, it's hard to beat. I'm not a pro mechanic but I have a decent amount of tools and there's alot of weight in that box. Husky would kill it if they had a custom box option where you could choose your drawer sizes and locations.

I currently have 2 of the 72 inch HD ones in my garage and will soon have the 61 with the hutch as well as the 96........can't complain about em for the price wish there was another color option other than the matte black as dust really stands out on them

I just opted for the 72 inch with the adjustable height top in matte blue for $1087... I was looking at the 84 for $1,588 but for delta in price I could get a tool cart. Also i already have a 48 inch kobalt top and bottom.

I've been looking at this same box for the last couple days. Hoping it's sturdy and not a regret. The side to side play of the drawers is a common complaint.

I've got a good amount of weight in them and they roll and close nicely. No regrets, I addressed my biggest gripes. Exactly the same build as the smaller ones they have in store for comparison

@@themoneypitgarage I ordered one, took almost 3 weeks to get to the store. It was missing the pallet and the cardboard was in bad shape. We took the cardboard off in the store and it had significant damage on the backside. I had them reorder it. It did look like a nice box though.

@@sparkypdx They didn't offer a discount for reorder and I didn't think to ask. The second one came in acceptable though, so I took it home. It's actually pretty nice. The ICON stuff is probably heavier gauge but isn't it a lot more expensive?

Thank you! I just finished installing the 4 post lift so its starting to get tight. Wish I could have afforded to make it 10 feet longer
