@@nightthornkvala94132 All purpose elf or other supernatural entity, I think. Some tribes of Celts decorated the body before battle but not the Vikings. What would have been interesting is that some Celts fought naked. I guess Jimmy decided not to go with that one.

Adam is a big gamer, especially D&D, so I bet this was his idea. You can tell they had so much fun making this. I'm pretty sure Austin has costumes, because his background is musical theater.

No, apparently this was the brain child of Jimmy Bates, the band's long term videographer. Speaking as someone with a background in musical theatre, it does not mean you carry a wardrobe of costumes around with you. Costumes are provided by the production and you can't usually keep them, though HF recycle old costumes quite a lot.

Chance makes a fine captain of this motley band of warriors. Amberley is starting to show herself a skilled actress, with her look of utter bewilderment before giving Austin an almighty thwack on the head. No wonder he needed an ice pack. It was 100 degrees while they were filming, which shows real dedication. This was the inspiration of Jimmy Bates, the band's videographer for years, familiar to anyone who has seen the From the Vault series, seen dancing in Can't Stop the Feeling and regularly annoying Chance ("No, no, not now, Jimmy goddammit").

Adam is the game player....D&D and others. Chance is into some, as well. Tim, on the other hand......kinda reminded me of "How to Train Your Dragon". 🤣 Proof boys never really grow up. I commented on their Patreon post of this song/video how it made me think of them and their brotherhood relationships as a group. That was the first thing I thought of with the song and video. The vocals were perfect, as always! Loved hearing Rob’s falsetto. We don’t get to hear it his lead very much lately. The comical aspects were awesome! Amberly’s expression is one of my top 3 favorite parts of the video. Of course, how fitting is it for Adam to be the hero, or should I say “Dungeon Master”! Lol Loved every aspect of the video! When I first saw the photo with them in costume, I thought they might be trying to compete with Voice Play. If only the two groups would do a collaboration of some sorts, along the line of this type of video. Loved your reaction, Lyle! I knew you’d get a kick out of it!

Yes! HF and VP did Survivor: Zombies vs Hillbillies several years ago and it's awesome... but they weren't physically together for it. Would love to see them all together. Rob is in VP's Movie Themes video and Tim is in Just Sing (watch with captions on) but I haven't seen any VP guys in a HF video.

This song really lit up your face, Lyle. Having three sons, while it wasn’t in battle but in solidarity, this song rings true of siblings who have each other’s backs. These guys consider themselves a family, so it goes without question that they would do their own song about brothers. I loved all the silliness and the tender moments. What a great production!

Loved your reaction to this, I always do. It was brilliant, awesome and funny. Adam's costume was his own, a fan made his staff for him,. Chance's was as well, well the helmet definitely was. I think they all have their own theatre wardrobe, especially Adam. He does role play with his D&D. As for him reading "make your own magic" he already does that, he's one magical guy. Perhaps a first for you as I received notification of your reaction to this video while doing morning yoga. Watched while continuing my practice. :) Gotta hand it to the guys for their dedication given those costumes and the 100+ degree heat in a Nashville park (as cars drove by). I don't know from gaming, LARPing or cosplay. Took several viewings of this to set aside the 'silliness' factor and just enjoy it for its entertainment value. The song is amazing and truly appreciated even more when experienced away from the video.

Hey Brother, you forgot the 'i' in opinion in your pre-tape screen. Rob's falsetto needs to be utilized more often. It's gorgeous. Edit: Love the timing of the scepter pound by Adam to deal with the warriors against Chance and Tim. The pounding coincides with "love". I think the idea of the characters is to show the theme is ageless.

I found parts of this quite funny, but for me the video reflected perfectly the theme of he song since Home Free consider themselves brothers. Going into battle (metaphor for life) standing together and having each other's back. Along with the funny parts, there were sweet and adorable elements, bonds of brotherhood elements and heroic elements. They raised the bar yet again with their beautiful cover of this song. Sounded phenomenal, as usual. How cool is it when you bring your own D & D costume to a photo shoot of a fantasy LARP themed video!! Adam is so cool. I half suspect Chance may have provided his own costume as well. nice. There's nothing about this video I don't like. Great reaction, yet again.

Thanks for the link for this video. I watched it and saved it. I remember seeing Gavin DeGraw before and hearing him sing. This video is quite interesting in their interpretation of the song. I was waiting for your reaction to this. So epic. If I had had to pick the characters each of them would be, this would be it exactly. OF COURSE, Adam is the wizard, which explains a lot. On a totally unrelated topic, I don't know if you have ever reacted to Imagine Dragons. I recently stumbled onto their song Thunder which totally wiped me out. Totally unlike Home Free and the video is pretty distracting, but quite intriguing. Might want to "watch" the first time with your eyes closed. Get better soon.

I first saw this reaction yesterday while at the Greyhound station waiting for the bus for Redding where they were playing last night. I wanted to call out to Tim from my front row seat about Patsy and his coconuts. (That's who he reminded me of.) But I gave up and went home after 11 hours and too damn late to get there on time whether the bus ever showed up or not. Broke my heart. I still have Stockton to look forward to and I cancelled my bus ride there immediately. I'll never trust Greyhound again, especially after losing out on $400 worth of concert tix/motel/bus, not even counting meals and cabs. I was going to wait until next summer for my first Amtrak ride, but looks like that's moving up to September. I don't know if I want to keep last night's ticket or not. Anyway, Lyle, I love your reactions and your line of "'Tis but a scratch," had me giggling like crazy. Thank you. I LOVE Holy Grail.
