How can you not smile when watching that? What a fun video! This is an original song that Tim wrote. These guys know how to have fun without compromising their vocals. Rob is great with his whistling & love Adam's vocal percussion. Fun seeing Avi doing a cameo in this.

The man in the black cowboy hat who passed the by in the bar is Avi Kaplan (formerly of Pentatonix). This is such a fun song. In an interview on the 'net Tim explained that years ago he was working as a songwriter for someone, writing pop songs. His employer abruptly told him he wanted him to write country songs (which at the time he didn't want to do). That he went home, drank a bottle of whiskey and wrote this. Years later, Home Free convinced him to record it.

Tim was working as a song writer a long while back and he was told to write country songs. At that point in his career, he felt he wanted to get away from country and do something else, so he decided to write the worst country song he possibly could. He accidentally created a song that everybody loves. So, yea. Couldn't do a bad song even if they tried. And Tim tried. lol This is just too funny. Such a fun song.

If I remember correctly this was a song Tim wrote way back maybe even before he was actual full-time member of Home Free and living in L.A. working as a song writer for some company. He really didn't want to do anything country at that time but his boss told him he needed him to write some country stuff and it pissed him off. He ended up getting pretty drunk and wrote this song out of spite thinking they would hate it but the opposite happened, his boss loved it. I don't remember all of the details, but I do know that if you like Tim and Home Free then he did a "Tea Time Chat" interview with Elizabeth at the Charismatic Voice channel where he tells all. I enjoy your reactions to Home Free and glad to see you might have become what we call Home Fries, or fans of the guys. Everything they do is real vocal stuff and I saw them live 3 weeks ago and can verify they are a NOT TO MISS concert if they are near you. Post productions for albums are from the awesome work of producer Darren Rust's genious but it is still all just 5 voices.

Tim wrote this after being told by the man he worked for that he should be writing country songs and he wouldn't pay him again till he wrote one. he went home , drank a fifth of JD and wrote this song in one night. Amazing, funny and so incredibly entertaining. I had a neighbor like that once. By the time he got the credit cards and the check book away from her she had put them almost 15,000 in the hole. When he told her they were broke she actually said "I can't be out of money. I still have checks." I didn't know they made them that blond...

Hahaha, it’s such a funny one. Tim (the lead) wrote this one. His boss at the time wanted him to write country songs and he didn’t want to (at the time) so he got drunk and wrote this in one night. What’s funny is that it’s a big hit for them….hahaha. I love the lyrics. “He won’t see her pretty face at all since the prison’s no where near the mall”. Hahaha. Austin, the high tenor with curly hair, is also an excellent song writer. I'm sure you'll get to some of their songs eventually.
