Everytime I listen to this song I'm thinking of my childhood, me and my family didn't have much money, we never had money to do what everybody else did, like vacations abroad, nice clothes (without at least ten stitched patches to cover up holes) etc, so we (me, my two brothers and sometimes a couple of other kids from our neighborhood) built treehouses and imagined it was real fancy big castles and we were on top of the world. And when I grew up my family was very dysfunctional, alcoholism as the main reason. But I love this song sooo much, brings me back to the safety of the treehouse when I could dream big ❤

For me...I was pregnant and homeless due to a bad relationship I was in that was toxic. And I was on my own. I ended up in a transition home and 10 months later I graduated the program, got my own place, and raising my daughter who was born prematurely. I've been in my own place 7 years now. I look back and smile of how far I've come.

There's a behind the scenes video on their Patreon and it shows them trying to film themselves. Most of them are pretty isolated but Tim is in a public park and people keep turning around as they pass to watch, etc. It's pretty funny.

If there is one thing I have learned in my many years it is happiness is a choice. You can either cry and increase your stress or laugh, which gives you endorphins, when life hits you right between the eyes. I have found that if you laugh and look for the humor you bounce back much quicker. We where standing in the street watching my friends house burn to the ground and she turned to me and said. "And where are the marshmallows? It's a waste of a good fire without marshmallows." I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my life. She, her husband and her family moved forward and rebuilt. Your choice of how you view life has a direct effect on how spirit wise you are a success in life. Choose happy.

I love all the music Home Free keeps putting out! So this is a cover by a group (or possibly duo from what I read) named Castro. They seem to have stopped adding cover to their titles. So far everything Home Free has put out during Covid as been a cover besides their song Quarantine, but that was using the tunes from two Billy Joel songs & changing all the lyrics. I absolutely LOVE your thoughts on diamond dreams being rough & yet powerful, having hope, feeling unbreakable & unshakable strength. Your comments on being homeless or struggling, especially during this time of covid is so powerful. It feels like this was the perfect message for today not only in my own life but in general as we move into another new month of still a lot of uncertainty. Hope you are well Dave!

I'm not trying to be flippant, but I honestly think Home Free's music could be helpful in helping people's mental illnesses. Depression, anxiety etc. They are so positive and their generosity of spirit comes through in their songs. I never fail to feel uplifted after listening to their beautiful music.

Looked it up yesterday. It's a cover and Castro sings the original. I think. At least I can't find anyone singing it before them. But, as usual, Home Free improved on it a bit. And the video is fun! Thanks! ^_^

Janis Joplin sang that "Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose". I don't envy millionaires 'cuz they'd always be on the lookout for people playing up to them or otherwise trying to take what they have. I love this song and the video is so creative. I think one of the things i love most about Home Free is most of the songs they choose to do are about... being happy where you are. no shame in having humble beginnings, and no shame is staying there if that's what makes you happy.

Home Free choosing wonderful music again - apparently this was a song that Chance discovered and introduced to the group, and they fell in love with it, in fact Rob was hinting that they might do it live when concerts restart. I guess you could call this a semi-quarantine video - the guys aren't together, they're filming their own scenes, but they can at least go out and about to film. Austin's actually in Georgia at his aunt and uncle's place - the lake in the background is the same one as in Good Ole Boy Good Time.
