This was during Quarantine and they each had to put up their own backdrop in their homes. Plus they have a sense of humor. Chance is not 5' and Rob is also not 6'8" their true heights are around 6'2" to 6'4" tall.

Johnny Cash first released it in 1968 - it wasn't considered country at the time and charted on radio rock stations. Considering this was video taped individually during Covid - it's frickin' fantastic! And I love their mutual weird sense of humor - check out the heights they gave themselves (they're actually all around 6'). Thanks for playing it & your comments.

I think they are all 6 footers or more. That backdrop was for our amusement I do believe!

Austin does a beautiful job singing the song "Bring Him Home" from Les Mis
@ElizabethRoss-uj8rl Жыл бұрын
You're right, this is a Johnny Cash song. It's geared for deep voices, so that's probably why Chance and Tim are taking the leads. Of course, the height charts are just messing with us. Done during quarantine, they each set up their space in their own homes, and let their sense of humor take charge. This is an amazing arrangement, with Austin, Rob and Adam providing the amazing ambient sounds. Enjoyed your reaction!

I think Adam Rupp has seen the same prison programmes as you! He is playing the crazy one, while Tjm (bass) is a psychopathic killer. Austin is pure NY junior gangster. Rob and Adam Chance probably just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The guys did a great job of this Johnny Cash cover. Made it into a jazzy blues style. And they all look like some sort of criminals especially Tim & Adam. Remember this was done during quarantine so none of them were physically together. They were very creative during that time. Love the background train noises. Adam's beatboxing is crazy good & so is Tim's low notes.

If you want to check out what the guys have done outside of Home Free you''ll find not only more great music but a really fun podcast. Rob (bushy beard & glasses) does a movie review podcast with is buddy Eric Beugler called The Avid Indoorsmen. Beugs is an a cappella singer in his own right and appears as part of the background/crowd in several of their videos. Adam (beatboxer) is an avid D&D player and the dungeon master for the players from the Home Free crew and elsewhere. That side of his life influenced his role in the group's video "Brother." Austin (longer hair) and Tim (spot of grey hair) have many non a cappella videos, solo and singing with friends and family on guitar, keyboards, violin, drums, etc. They did a video together, filmed on Austin's deck, with 3 friends, for My Maria. I think that's what led to their expanded outside of Home Free group called Sweet + Low Music Co. This group does what can be considered a studio concert the first Friday of the month (I think) for their Patreon members. I think they're about 3 hours or so. The first 30 or so minutes are free for all. Look the group up on YT for those. Chance (baritone/bass) sings solo but also with a duo called the Hound + the Fox. Reilly and McKenzie Zamber have shown up as actors in a few of Home Free's videos (see Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer and Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On) and Reilly also directed several of their videos, so they are definitely part of the HF family.

A great cover by the boys! Love Adam’s train, gun-cocking and harmonica on top of all his other percussion! The ad libs by Rob and Austin and of course Chance and Tim’s leads. Home Free never disappoints!

they were doing a bit of joking around with the heights. Actually they are all kinda tall.ranging from 6ft 1 to 6ft 4 I believe

Tim: killed a man in Reno Chance: mafia hit man Austin: fleecing little old ladies Rob: was framed Adam: waiting transfer to a psych ward! In reality, their heights range from 6"1.5' (Austin) to 6"4' (Rob). This was a covid lockdown video.

There's no other way than this is awesome again. Even a prison they make something fun. Every lead is great again, The amazing bass is clearly audible. The background vocals sound so good again. And the beatboxing/vocal sounds that Adam creates are incredible again. He's inhumane! That all together sounds fantastic.

Written and sung by Johnny Cash; the song that got him a recording deal and his first hit. No, they're all around 6' to 6' 2", this was a visual joke.

Not one of my favorite songs, but still amazing. Totally agree on Adam looking like the local loon. Loved it. Austin just released a new song - a duet with Makena Hartlin called Never Had a Dream Come True. Absolutely amazing. Also look for some of Tim's duets with Peter Hollens - Sound of Silence and And So It Goes are my favorites.

A fun reaction. I'm going to suggest two reactions: "Folsom Prison Blues" by Roy Clark. It is another cover, but with amazing guitar work and will challenge your concept of this as a more serious song. "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay" by Tim Foust. You mentioned looking for solos by members of Home Free and that is an amazing solo by him. Johnny Cash did have this song out as a huge hit. There is also a fun version of this song in the 80s as a duet by Johnny and Roy.

It’s a great rendition of the Johnny Cash song. None of the height charts is right. The boys are all tall 6’1” to 6’4”. This was during Covid so they weren’t even together. Love Tim’s low notes. We think Tim (the bass) did the crime, Adam (beatboxer) belongs in the insane asylum, and the others are accomplices.

Over the years this has been out I have seen countless reactions to this video. The best indication of a reactor’s attention deficit disorder is a comment or question about the fake heights behind them. Chance is 6’1” not 5’ and Austin is taller. The rest are around 6’. Just my comment and not a dig. Many, if not most, KZbin music reactors have ADHD. Not sure why. Folsom Prison Blues is a Johnny Cash original he wrote. Most famous when he sang the song during his live recorded prison concerts, Folsom Prison (1968) San Quentin (1969).
@patriciamcl54 Жыл бұрын
Not quite - Rob is 6' 4" and Austin is actually shorter at 6' 1 1/2" (he usually looks taller because of his inevitable cowboy boots, which add about 2".). The others are all 6'2".
