The look on your face through the whole vid made me want to hug you until you let go. I once ran across a passage that seems fitting right here, right now. I am not taking credit, I don't know the author. Grief never ends... But It changes. It is a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith. It is the price of love.

Thank you for your reaction. Very fitting song for right now. Thank you for what you said after the video. It really hit home with me. January 30, 2016 was the last time I talked to my best friend and soul mate before he died. I'm grateful every day that I let him know how much he meant to me then. If you have people you care about let them know before it's too late. It doesn't matter if you're mad at them, make sure they know how you feel. You never know when it'll be the last time you talk to them.

Every time I hear this song now, I start to cry from remembering Vince Gill trying to get through it at George Jones service. 'Tell them every day'. It's such good advice, I don't know why it's so hard to follow sometimes. Time wounds all heels and, eventually, Heals all wounds. Peace!

A fitting choice for the loss of all on board the helicopter with Kobe Bryant. Thank you. A reminder that another day is not promised. I tell my people more often than they may want to hear, but when I'm gone, they will never doubt that they were loved. Everyone, tell your people. A note on HF's performance here...I greatly enjoy when they drop in a few lines from a companionable song, Amazing Grace in this case. When I heard It Is Well With My Soul amid How Great Thou Art, it pushed the tears over the edge.

No truer words spoken, Live in the moment, and tell those you love, that you love them. when my dad passed away I was 27,i am now 62.for all these years I have wished I had told him I love you.i don't ever remember saying that to him,and not sure he ever said it to me. But I lost my mom in 2014,and I have no regrets,i saw or talked on the phone to her almost every day, when I would leave I always got a hug and we both said I love you, when we were done on the phone it ended by I love you. and people if you have issues with a family member, get it worked out, because when they are gone, there is no working things out. you will always kick yourself in the ass for not doing it. God bless you all. thank you dramasyde god bless

I'm a 42yr old woman, a mother myself and I cry like a baby every single night for my Mammy and my Daddy who I lost in 2016 and 2018. I didn't get to be with my Daddy at the moment and my Mammy was unconscious by the time I got to the hospital so I can't know they heard me one more time. I understand what you mean. I’ve had my share of loss. I lost my parents years ago, but they were elderly and they lived a good life. The loss that hurt the most was my brother, who died at the age of 28. It shook me to my core. I was only 22. I had never had lost anyone as close. It definitely shook my faith. I grieved for months and months and struggled to do normal things. So I totally understand. I am so happy to have discovered Home Free because their music and sound gives me comfort, especially when they sing music like this. Yesterday’s loss was very tragic and horrific, as it would be for anyone. It makes you realize that we should live like we were dying because we don’t know what tomorrow brings. Tell our families we love them. Enjoy the little things and definitely don’t sweat the small stuff and never take anything for granted.

Fact is the same for everyone. Truth isn't. Faith is acceptance. Love is choice. Trust is respect. Hope is understanding. We only have now. Another song has a lyric "Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, Today is a GIFT, that's why it's called The Present". Live in the present. Make sure you make the choice to accept the trust given to you and understand it's meaning. Make sure you let everyone that matters to you know what they mean to you. God Bless and RIP to those that have passed including Kobe and Gianna (his daughter). Thank-you Michael. Great reaction as always.

You have to distinguish between two concepts. Fact is truth, per definition. Fact is objective and absolute, and therefor so is truth. However, if you're talking about truth in the sense that it's based in subjective experience it instead becomes a philosophical concept, not an objective and definite fact. Saying that grass is green is objective truth. Saying that grass looks brown because you're colorblind is subjective truth. Both are true, it's just that they're two different concepts.

I live in pain every single day and I don't understand why but I have the blessed hope of spending eternity with my Lord and Savior as well as all those who accepted Christ as their Savior. We know in part here, but we will someday know in full.

I have been where you are now, after suffering the loss of 8 people in a short three yr span, who were near and dear to my life. Thankfully we did have a great love and respect for each other before their passing. You fill you days of questioning why them, and not you? It's hard to pull yourself from that deep dark despair. It's not easy. But I just want to let you know, that when you finally crawl out of that black hole, your world suddenly becomes a much brighter place. I agree you, when you said to tell the people you love, and have touch your heart just how you feel about them, before it's too late. Thank you, and may you one day soon, find the peace you're seeking.

Amen to ALL of this. As I’m sitting here on the couch, with my 13yo daughter watching a few of your reactions to her (and my) favorite group, this video pops up. We lost her big sister 10 years ago and music, ALL kinds of music, has been our healing. This one is huge. Her uncles sang Amazing Grace at her funeral. Thank you for your thoughts and reactions because they echo so many others. Losing a loved one is crushing. But thank God for the music. It’s such a healing thing.

Empathy is the heaviest of gifts, I do believe. And you've been blessed with a huge gift of it. "It's hard to see that everything's going to be alright, that you're going to see them again because they're not here..." But they ARE here! In your mind and heart, they still dwell and the best of them stay with you until the end. That is the gift of loving and having been loved.

❤ I am an empath myself, a fact I did not realize until just a few years ago. I always dreaded weddings, funerals, special days in Church (such as Mother's Day and Father's Day) because I knew I was going to cry, no matter how much I tried to prepare myself. The best part is feeling the joy and happiness that friends and family have.

One of the greatest blessings in my life is that I once told my father in law how much I loved and respected him. It was out of the blue and awkward for me, but I felt compelled to do it. Later on, he died unexpectedly from a heart attack. I was comforted by knowing he knew how I felt about him. I've made it my mission since then to never let that opportunity pass with anyone else in my life.

Gorgeous. My husband is very ill. And I am in the position of having to plan ahead. To prepare in case I have to go on alone. I find myself finding songs I think should be played at his funeral --- just in case. This is surely one of them. And is so indicative of his troubled life. Of course, at any time, I could go first, but the reality is that he is a 58 yr old man who the doctor says is living/dying in the body of a 95 yr old man. What can I say? We all do the best we can each day, and that's all we can do.

This was done live by them and it was sung beautifully, I saw no flaws. You speak the truth, make sure you tell and show loved ones how much you care so that they know you do and feel it throughout. We never know when our day will come It could be today or tomorrow. My mother has had strokes, cancer, I was told over and over she would die and she overcame it all and is still with us, however, my good friend came out of work one day and stepped off a curb to go to her car and died from doing it was that unexpected. We can't predict, so we should live each day fully.
