Just lost my older brother today. This song is helping me cope. I hope that Home Free knows how much good they do in the world. It is much more than just singing! You guys helped me grieve today and have kept many people sane during the pandemic. You may never see this, but thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I know that it's been 5 months brother. But I hope things are going better for you. My prayers are with you. And like you I've recently lost two. My father left to be with God in late January, and my wife of 6 years left to be with God in late May. Home Free is one of the groups that has helped me to get through this as well.

My condolences on the loss of your loved ones. Take it a moment at a time. These talented singers can elicit so many varied emotions. God put them here to share this gift of healing with us during difficult times, covid, and world craziness. My prayers are with you. Enjoy the beauty too and know that we will see our loved ones again someday.

Sorry for your loss. It's tough loosing a sibling. I lost my sister in '03, she was 18. I think about her dang near daily. Cherish the great memories y'all had together. Talk about him every chance you can & get. It's probably still tough... it'll never go away BUT it will get easier.

Lyrics: I know your life On earth was troubled And only you could know the pain You weren't afraid to face the devil You were no stranger to the rain [Chorus:] Go rest high on that mountain Son, your work on earth is done Go to heaven a shoutin' Love for the Father and Son Oh, how we cried the day you left us We gathered round your grave to grieve I wish I could see the angels faces When they hear your sweet voice sing [Chorus] Amazing grace How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost But now I'm found I was blind, but now I see [Chorus]

Dennis Johnson ya I always love listening to Home Free more than ptx. Their only songs I like are Daft Punk, Love Again, and Hallelujah, while I love all of Home Free’s songs. It’s just that ptx came first so that’s why I think they’re more popular. Also some of it might be that they cover a bigger music genre, but Home Free does too so idk. I love Home Free with all my heart, and they will always be number 1 for me! ❤️

I recorded this for one of my CD's in the late 90's and at first it did not get too much attention but then, one by one people started telling me that it was played at their Mothers, or Brothers, or Dads, or Aunts or whatever loved ones funeral. And then I had the experience of singing it at my own Father's funeral in 2003 via CD. I could not do it live because I am so easily overcome by emotion. But what a great song Vince Gill wrote here. You guys just sing the wheels off of it just like you do everything else you sing. Bless you guys. You all have a God Given voice. Thank Him that you found each other!

You will give as proof of your claim Ephesians 2:8-10 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. But as a Christian you must agree that the Bible was written by individuals who were moved by the Holy Spirit to write it exactly as God directed. So we must agree as Christian’s that the Bible is completely true or if parts can be ignored, discredited or as many try to claim some parts are not foundational and don’t have any impact on our belief that Jesus is Gods son sent to die for our sins, and arose from the dead. Timothy 3:16-17 2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV [16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. All of it is profitable, and can be used to perfect us in Gods site. Galatians 1:6-9 KJV [6] I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: [7] Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. [8] But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. [9] As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. The above verse along with Jude 1:3 KJV [3] Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. Discredits anyone who claims to have been given some revelation from God, an Angel, a self declared Apostle… the scripture is the one and only source for the entire belief system of someone who claims to be a Christian and following Christ. Jude says it was delivered ONCE for all. (Mormons will leave your porch when you show them 2 Tim 3:16-17 Most people who believe what you said and will use the verses in Ephesians as proof for salvation by grace/faith alone will claim that reciting a “sinners prayer” which goes as follows: "Lord Jesus, I want to have a personal relationship with You. I know I am a sinner and I believe You died on the cross for my sins. I turn from those sins and put my faith in You right now to be my Lord and Savior, my God and Friend. Thank You for hearing this prayer. I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen". There are many slightly differently phrased prayers but basically this is the idea. This is a very recent doctrine and is first recorded in 1940 by Bill Graham. One last point and if you want to have a productive back and forth address this next verse and tell me what is occurring in the passage. Explain how the individuals Jesus is speaking to would not meet the standard for how one is saved that you are claiming via Ephesians 2:8-9. Matthew 7:21-23 KJV [21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. [22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? [23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Jesus statement says calling on his name, declaring him son of God isn’t enough. Those who practice salvation via a sinners prayer would be in that group. What did Jesus say they lacked? They didn’t do the will of the father, and they worked iniquity. Which is to say without authority or outside of Gods will. Normally the responses to this information will be more verses that also seem to be saying what you claim. But that doesn’t address any of the arguments I’ve raised. We have to have a harmonious understanding of the entire scripture. Quoting other verses that are in line with Ephesians doesn’t explain the massive volume of contradictions that are just as much Gods word as any other. So why didn’t Grace and faith save the people in Matthew 7. Why did Jesus use the action verb ποιέω/forth to explain the requirement they failed to meet.

My troubled daughter died this last month no drugs except medically prescribed.... she finally found happiness . God gave that last blessing And allowed that peace for those of us left here knowing she left here happy . Now she is with her younger sister and grandparents that were so beloved . I just wait to be together again.

Lost my Grandpa 3 years ago, he was a candidate for the Country Music Hall to sing there and be signed on. He toured with Eddie Rabbit and was singing and playing the guitar ever since he was 3 years old. He gave his life to music and when the time came, this was the song chosen to be played. I sing myself and it was the most emotional moment of my life thus far singing this song in his funeral service and thinking about him every time it plays. Thank you Home free for making a rendition of this song and sending chills and happy tears every time it is played.

I've been listening to this song for years. So in this difficult month. My partner passed away unexpectedly three years ago. He was then sixty. Finally he had the peace that he did not have here on earth. This song makes me cry every time. Home Free sings it with so much emotion. Especially Rob's voice. Because even though I love all the voices of Home Free, I don't know why, but with Rob there is always a special feeling through my whole body. Sometimes it gives me goosebumps. And not just with this song. Also many compliments to the other members of Home Free. You guys are just too great. Please, stay together forever. You are so unity. The harmonies, the inhuman beatboxing, the background, the high and low notes, the choral sounds etc etc.
