Was @ HF concert last night (12/3/24) and after they sang this song, the crowd roared with applause & stood up. I was in the 1st row and saw the surprise & tears welled in Bastien’s eyes. Tim sidled over to bro-hug him. 💜💜💜

I’m loving Bastein with HF. His voice has a smoothness that I really enjoy. He blends so well in the harmonies- in particular, I love the way his voice blends so beautifully with Rob’s. To me, he’s bringing a freshness to their music.

Loved your reaction. I don't know how you managed to do such a good analysis with all that emotional impact of the song hitting you at the same time. I would have had to just listen (and cry) for a while before talking coherently. I believe this song, especially the way Home Free has presented it to the world in this beautiful video, will be a force for loving change in many families for years to come.

Adam Bastien not only sang, this song, he also wrote it. It's his story, about his family failing to accept his life partner and not allowing him to come home unless he didn't bring his husband.

Oh, this song, I watched them sing this live last night in Carmel IN, my tears started with the first cord when I knew what was headed our way. Driving home this morning, and thinking about the song again, more tears, I just gotta figure out how to get through a few more concerts this month. 😢 Bastien got a standing ovation, he was very emotional then Tim swooped in with a rescue hug 😢for him. So well deserved. I don’t know how he gets through singing this live. I will say it was notable that the guys were not looking too much out in the crowd. The seating was very close to the stage in that venue and our tears were noticeable 😢

This song gave me all the feels. I know exactly how it feels to just want to go home for the Holidays and being unsure if I would be accepted. I didn’t know the backstory of this song, and assumed it was another cover. Now that I do, I find it positive that the group has been more inclusive than I knew. They will no doubt unfortunately lose some fans over it, but I don’t think exclusion accomplishes much good. I never had to worry my family would reject a girlfriend, and that makes me realize how fortunate I am to know acceptance. The kind that everyone deserves.

Would you by any chance be able to react to another clip from Linkin Park? It’s the performance of One More Light which was used as a tribute to Chris Cornell. I believe it was on Jimmy Kimmel live or something like that but it’s very emotional compared to the original studio album version.
