Ray Stevens not only had a slew of novelty songs ("Along Came Jones", "The Streak", "Gitarzan") but an absolutely gorgeous gospel album and his rendition of "Misty" is unforgettable. He also had a summer replacement TV show (1970?) which also had Mama Cass & Steve Martin. I love the idea of the "First Self-Righteous Church". Thanks for playing it!

I think this originally came out by Ray Stevens in the 80's? I remember him being quite popular back around then. This version is just brilliant! Tim's voice is perfect for it.

That was such a fun rendition of this song. And loved the animation! Tim is perfect for the narrating of this song. This was originally done by Ray Stevens. He is a country & pop singer-songwriter & comedian known for his novelty hits such as "Gitarzan", "Ahab The Arab", "The Streak" and others.

Back in the 70's and early 80's, Ray Stevens did a lot of songs along these lines. His biggest hit was actually a straight song, "Everything is beautiful." He's still around and performing. Check out his KZbin for a smile.

The original was released in 1984, back when MTV actually showed music videos, and it's hilarious. Home Free did an awesome job. Love Chance on bass and Tim on lead ... essentially an extended Story Time with Tim set to music.

I love this one, with one exception. The "Jetsons" couple. The dad and son look right, but the wife doesn't look like Jane Jetson... She looks like the daughter, Judy. For some reason, that creeps me out. 😂😅 Maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention because I got weirded out but it still looks that way to me and I still cringe when it gets to that part! 🤣 Still, a hilarious and cool video. The animation is fun.
