HF performing this song actually goes clear back to when HF was first formed. They performed in a talent show at their church and they sang this "to" the pastor's wife. Then on the Sing Off, Austin serenaded Jewel with that slow sultry part. I like the way they worked that slowdown into this version.

I've always loved the late Roy Orbison's 1964 original and I think he'd have approved of Home Free's rendition. Their suits & pompadours fit in the period of the song. Of course the singing, harmonies & beatboxing are terrific. Home Free are the experts at inserting an acapella break in an acapella song!

Even better, 10 years later! "As Seen on TV" is the album, and this is one of the songs they performed on the TV competition, the "Sing Off" in 2013. It's short because the contestants were limited to 2 minutes! Love this video interpretation of Roy Orbison's era (and mine, as well). My brother had that very hairstyle, maybe not quite as exaggerated. Enjoyed your reaction!

I love the whole look of this video. The 50s and early 60s lends itself fantastically to acapella. Chance's do just cracked me up and I swear Adam killed it too. I think another Roy Orbinson song they'd kill is Crying. I can so hear it. Live your reaction, thanks so much. ✌🏼&🩷

This is one of the songs they did for The Sing Off in 2013. For the 10th anniversary of their major introduction to the world they selling an album called As Seen On TV on their website. They have in on CD and on vinyl. They also have a picture booklet with some great behind the scenes pictures of the group. Tim Foust does have a doo wop album out called Pieces of Me Vol. 1. In My Room, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay, and Come Go with Me are the videos out from that. I'm assuming the quarantine ending is the reason there are no more since he had to turn to getting back on the road and finishing the broken tour (finally, this month). Oh yeah. He did one for Duke of Earl but he was singing with the Alley Cats with Chris Chatham on lead.

Have you not seen them doing this on The Sing Off? Austin won over Jewel. Tim’s “Duke of Earl” from his album doesn’t have a video, but it’s fun. Personally I prefer their modern covers and their originals. But everything is always well done and well sung. 😊
